My first encounter with Li Xian happened when I watched Go Go Squid. I wanted to give a Chinese sports drama a chance and I started with Go Go Squid. Unfortunately, Yang Zi's character writing annoyed me and ruined every chance I amhad at enjoying the drama. I couldn't focus on any one else so I dropped the series
Few years later, Meet Yourself with Liu Yufei aired. Reviews said it had a healing vibe to it so I picked it up. Yet again, I could not get into it so I dropped it.
Last month, *Will Love In Spring* aired. Wan Peng playing a support role did not sit well with me coupled with the fact that I've never been into any of his drama. Reviews on MDL leaned towards the positive angle. The storyline was different and the writing was mature. So I decided it was time for a last chance. I was ready to give up on Li Xian but I had to give him the benefit of the doubt because in as much as I could not get into his dramas, I knew it was a 'Me" problem because Meet Yourself had a solid plot with a cast that can act. I might not like his looks but it's a fact that he's a great actor.
And guess what? Will Love In Time is actually the first modern Cdrama of 2024 that I like.
I don't use to like all this thing because what is that now? Did Yun wake up as Woo Chae Won? When is the S2 coming? I am not taking any open ending this time around because that's BS!
Finally someone who likes Lili and San Pang 😭 In as much as I did not like the pregnancy part because I know Lili is not that careless, I still liked their roles and story. I also don't understand people who hate San Pang. If he did not suggest sending Yuan away that time, Yuan would not have matured like he did and Qian would not have realised his feelings.
