Because of that she has to stay in the palace, mingle with the imperial family and there's absolutely no way she can avoid the drama and power struggle in the imperial family.
Like she said , she was only trying to help Her Majesty. Her majesty is the like the mother she never had, so ofcourse it'll break her heart to see her suffer. She did what anyone in her position would do. She meant no harm.
Also why does it seem to me that Ling Buyi does not like the Crown Prince? It's like hell rather have the Third Prince be the emperor instead. The crown prince is like his father, kind, benevolent, filial and generous. I don't think someone as stiff as the third prince deserves to be a ruler.
While I think he should not appoint incapable officials just because of the close bonds he shares with them, that doesn't mean he is indecisive. I like how the emperor resolved the Wang Long issue, and I am sure the Crown Prince learned a thing or two from it.
