I was Excited. Then I watched it.
From episode 1 I was so angry that my heart was clenching. They're not gonna sell me these men as love interests. No way right?!
I'm an avid period drama watcher and in most stories it is understood by all that these men are the bad guys.
Cheater husbands are known in social circles. Rapists are treated with some sort of justice while protecting the woman characters virtue instead in this universe they're love interests.
Netflix had to have had so many people involved in production. This passed through so many hands for approval and they all said yes... to this... I can't understand it.
