he still literally dug a grave and put his wife in, burying her alive. he deserves whatever the plot has ready for him. Just because she survived by sheer luck doesnt mean he didnt almost murder someone.

its a good drama for sure, but im still salty abt hua rongs ending. They were such a cute couple and they made him a bad guy, and her suicide. i feel like it was too much, and the emperor was the emperor for too long. He was genuinely so frustrating to watch and made the drama annoying for a bit.

this is more of a revenge drama, than a romantic one. The romance starts later on in the show.

myeon ha only went so far to "help" her because he liked her. there were other ppl who were unjustly getting tortured but he didnt go out of his way to help them. he just stood there and observed. Granted he couldnt do much against his father, but he never stood up against him so hes not that great of a "gentleman"

they were never friends, or close enough for her to consider his words. The more you ask someone to do things the way you want them, the more you push them away. Sure, she made dumb choices but he choose to stay with his father until the end so it is what it is.

watch ep 26 then, all of them choose to be with each other even after knowing what would happen. Lingsha hearing out ziying's story about his sister. little mengli choosing to go with tianhe because friends trust each other. what more do you need lol

im someone who drops dramas if they drag or arent interesting easily, but this one made me finish 70 eps in 3 days ;)

Its a 7 for sure, they just wasted building plot for a character only to not make it sense with the ending.

i have to agree, the show might not be watchable without the sml, but since he's there the comedy also shines otherwise the show would be too dark for me.
