Lmao this comment section I find worse than the whole Start Up comment section ever wasTB as drama is a way way…
I honestly don't see anyone complaining about the webtoon as they have done before. In fact this comment section is nothing near to worse as Start Up. This drama is also based on the webtoon, even if it needs to be understood that the webtoon will not align with the drama, this webtoon would have never existed without it. It's natural to have a sense of expectation because most of the users are from the webtoon.

Nonetheless, this drama is definitely better than the webtoon it but it's completely expected on why people have some complaints

Yeah same. I'm actually able to understand from both parties now. I think it's just a matter of preference in each individual. Thank you for this discussion

I never said she represented the whole population, i was just giving a simple example lol.

As i have said, its not inconsiderate if we think that scene was shot funny. In fact, many people found it funny and if people want to come to this comment section, and say how they laughed because it was shot way too dramatically, then they have the complete right to. It's not our job to think about the other party because we were never mocking suho. I would be able to understand if they were making fun of his acting in that scene but most of the people were just laughing at the filming.

I am able to understand that not everyone will have the same viewpoints but again, no one was even laughing at suho. it was just shot really weird, which should not make anyone angry because its NOT mocking him. this is fictional. its light. half the people here come to see it for enjoyment.

people should be able to give their thoughts. for example if i say i dislike this character who is very pitiful, it does not mean i'm
inconsiderate, i jus't don't feel for him but i understand his struggles.
it's a clear difference.

CEW is already famous had more followers like 12m or 13m already before the show ,only HIY followers increased…
he did not increase from 1 million, he actually had only 500,000 followers when this show was starting so he grew drastically! it's insane how someone can gain so much in a little time

a person actually replied and said that they were suicidal at one point in there life but that scene did not effect them in any way. they said that they laughed as well.

no one is any less considerate because they said how its funny the way it was shot. it was way too dramatic to be realistic in the first place.

and btw, that car crash scene was not because suho was suicidal. he was traumatized and was running away so he was not aware that car was coming towards him. he was not trying kill himself at that moment. u can see sinclairs reply because she explains it better.

the people who were claiming and criticizing the people that we were "mocking" suho was mostly suho stans. this comment section is mostly suho stans

ohh yeah thats what i thought as well! when i heard people say he was suicidal, i was thinking about something other than the car crash. Idk, we have to see when we watch ep 10.

and yep! the director could have shot it better, thats nothing related to mocking Suho

this is a comment section from people all around the world. people can say what they want as long as its not hate. the laughing thing was never hate to begin with but suho stans took it too far and thinks that anyone that doesnt think like them is suddenly mocking suho.

if u see comments u dont like then u can just ignore. everyone should be allowed to come and say what they feel.

exactly, its common sense. people be forgetting that its a dramatic rom com where the scene was shot way too dramatically then it should have been but they will take that as a bandwagon of hate towards suho when it was never about him in the first place.

like is it so hard to get lighthearted humor?

as i have said, this is a drama that the main PURPOSE was for entertainment. not everyone watches story for the same reason. not everyone will be so deep drawn into a specific character for the same reason. not everyone will react the same way. but u guys took that as mocking suho when it was just laughing to lighten up the mood. everyones feelings are valid, no one should be forced to have the generic reaction in that scene.

what bothers me is that people expect u to have a specific reaction. like u do realize a lot of people laugh to lighten up a mood right? it was never mocking suho in the first place so our feelings and reactions to that scene should not be invalidated.

if u felt something else then u could ignore. u shouldn't tell people how to feel.

you really need to not take everything so seriously. no one laughed because he gave up/was suicidal. people laughed…

exactly! thank you! you can also see my comment right down there where i explain the whole situation with how people were laughing because it was shot so dramatic but since there is mostly suho stans in this comment section, they thought of it as something negative, when it was never meant at suho's suicidal in the first place.

literally i don't get why they expect everything to be serious because if it was someone else, they would have not acted like that.

I will copy and paste something that someone replied to me with. And i'm just going to leave it here. I have had multiple private conversations on how you guys are taking this situation far. Honestly i know i can get hated because its mostly Suho stans right now in this comment section but who cares. Theres a difference in mocking suho and just laughing at a dramatic scene.

Here is the statement:

"Don't worry - it's not insensitive to have laughed because it was obviously directed at production/cinematography-choices of the director. You're not making fun of Suho's situation. The scene may have failed to keep some audience members immersed into the situation, so they're able to 'disconnect' and evaluate how the scene was shot.

Kind of like in a horror movie where some people in the audience have a keen eye for things like costume make-up. They might not be completely immersed so they can think about the actor(s) behind the monsters/ghosts. So while other audience members get shocked and are in terror, some people might laugh at how ridiculous the scene was shot or how unconvincing it was. It doesn't make the person "insensitive." And there's no "rule" where people need to take everything on film seriously.

It's T.V. entertainment... Sometimes we watch it to "escape" our own problems and just enjoy the show. Maybe some of us are critical thinkers who like to dissect movies. Or maybe some of us notice things that others don't (aka: harsher, more critical eye on each scene). There's no right or wrong way to watch a drama.

It's not required to empathize (or sympathize) with every character in the show, no matter how difficult or heart-breaking their situations are. I wish people would stop treating others like demons, just cause they weren't as emotionally moved, immersed, and captivated as they were."

- Sunshine (thank you for taking the time to write)

So start being more open minded, not everything is directed towards Suho.
