can someone tell me if ren gets hurt like how ji hoo got hurt in the korean version? If he does get hurt does he at least move on and get his own love?I love him already but i dont want to have second lead syndrome. Please say yes or no
This is the Boys Over Flowers done right. The changes not only fit well with modern society, but also don't promote nor romanticize abuse and harassment. Its of course still filled with cliche but the whole point of the story is being cliche - a cliche thats done right. Props to Thailand!!
In your opinion but seriously this was my first kdrama I liked all the plots and twists it really shows a true…
lol ok? if u like it, alright, but people hate it for good reasons. The relationship is so toxic, and the bullying is romanticized. i can see why people would like the drama because it is nostalgic and is the first kdrama for a lot of people, but that really the only think i find good about this drama.
the acting is bad, the characters have no flavor and are shallow, everyone acts so stupid and the editing is a nightmare. the storyline is the clichiest, cheesiest, dumbest thing i have ever seen.
the whole plot is so horrendous that i genuinely question what the hell was going in the directors mind at the time. Sure it was 2009 and expectations/likings were different back then but that doesn't stop it from being a mess. I can't even formulate an objective-non biased review because this whole show is actually so stupid.
This is a really cute and heart touching show about love, sacrifice, and brotherhood. The autism is portrayed well. It has amazing character development. I love how there was no unnecessary side story/romance because its simply not needed.
But i will be honest...i wish there was no childhood part. It felt a bit forced to me because i have seen this trope so many times, in so many kdramas, that it just gets annoying tbh. I was just like...ugh, this again?I think it would have been better if something went wrong between him and his brother during their early adult years, something more realistic and different from the usual cliche of a messy-abandoned childhood. The whole thing of how his brother got hurt from a building and Sang Gu was watching it from the station was too cliche for me.
From this drama i notice one thing that broke my heart, between two countries, for upper politician & organizations…
these dramas remind me how cruel history was. How so much innocent humans, humans who wanted to live a normal life, humans who had a family waiting for them at home, humans who wanted to marry their love...died for a country that would never remember them.
Unpopular opinion: No character deserved to die. No character was a bad human in my opinion. Everyone during that time were just trying to survive and be loyal to their party. Thats the only way they were able to live! Poor souls.

I love this show, it made me feel some type of way that i haven't felt in a kdrama for a long time.
Will i rewatch it? Hell no! But the whole cast will be forever remembered in my heart.
what exactly was Man Dongs purpose of killing? I skimmed through the episode because i couldn't help to see the characters suffer anymore
heartbreaking, truly.
