As someone who doesn't care about the actors in shows I'm about to start caring about the writers and directors because 🤨 they really are about to be the reason I dnf this show Between: - the voices it's giving "I just turned 18" high pitch whining - very predictable plot you don't need spoilers if you seen any other demon hunting c-drama (isn't a problem but here it is) - the fluctuating character intelligence. - I want to say universe rules but it's giving stereotypical isekai plot. -pacing of the show. - amnesia on plot points.
Why I'm still watching: -make up - actors are good looking even if my ears are bleeds - music -chemistry between the actors are there -the actors are talented enough that they carry a scene with body language alone. -make up.
Is anyone else struggling with the lack of expression from Zhu Xu Dan in this? it's giving NPC on pause. I've…
Oh the writing is the issue I would not be surprised if they left that out the mood of the scene. Honestly it feels like they are writing and recording the episode the week beforehand.
I'm at epi 15 do they ever drop the literal childish misunderstanding plotline. Like I'm honestly cool with a war plotline at this point if we never have to sit through me feelings like I'm watching a bunch of teenagers and thinking maybe marriage isn't the right decision for people who can't admit they have feeling.
Thank you I was looking through the reviews and I'm trying to figure out were they written by teenagers, because this is giving Young adult levels of stupidity. If even a child is telling you something why is she fighting it's like they are trying to draw out the run time of the show it's episode 15 and they are still fighting. Like girl you had two choices of men and you picked one yet you can't commit and it's not even in a mature noncommittal way but in a childish way. I would have expected the noncommittal plotline to go to the youngest that plot line would have worked with him thinking the child is his but the mother hides it until he grows up but he just to stupid to make the mature decision. Or the first brother because his girl is getting married into the palace type drama. But no they gave the most annoying plotline to the main couple and it feels like an action anime where they keep fighting until they beat the bad guy with the power of friendship or some bs. If they would have dropped the misunderstanding plotline also what plot twist I'm confused am I to stupid to see the plot twist perfectly or what?
This is common in lot of historical Chinese novels and dramas. They tend to be dramatic and not realistic, they…
Honestly I can't read novels especially translated ones unless there's a really good translation and not one where I need 3000 context clues to piece a story together I rather stick to the show. I don't like judging a show on the book because they are two different mediums and a show should be able to stand alone and Garner it own audience especially since most shows will piss off an audience that came from the books no matter how much authors input it has.
That show is amazing, honestly it's one of the few shows that is a recent release that doesn't feel like nail on a chalkboard... But New life begins is an amazing show also the ending had me balling.
I don’t know why this has such a low ratingIt is a relaxing nice story and I find the ML far more interesting…
I don't think the story is relaxing but the actors are amazing I never want to push a female lead down a cliff with her father being alive. Honestly that's talent to make a character unlikeable to this degree you can honestly believe she is a dean daughter that never heard the word no and everyone caters to. I give the actress her flowers.
I think that went out the window when she burned someone mail and didn't think it would have consequences. It's hard to get into a show where you kinda want to see the main character get their comeuppance. It's a very bad enemies to lover tropes.

No it isn't I watch way to many to believe that it's not common unless the person is the obvious villain not the love interest. We are meant to root for who wrote this trash.
Since long time ago, just watch old Chinese or Korean dramas. I just hope that young girls don't copy some kind…
Honestly I don't expect much from older but in a good Lord year 2023 I want better for my people. There should not be an ending where they fall in love that's weak.
