No it is not. It is based on the novel released in 2012, which was earlier than DOTS. And, the storylines are totally different too. The only similar is the profession of the leads. Actually ML is a special police here, not in military like DOTS. Personally, I think this drama is much better than DOTS. You should give a try. You would love it.

We could be friends then. Xianxia is my most favorite genre of c-dramas too. I'm crazy for Xianxia. Bai Jing Ting in Xianxia could be great. But, I am not sure if he want to try this.
