Honestly people comparing this to love020 where, both have the gaming aspects but honestly the acting is just. It felt like any other cdrama with cringy expressions. It's a 7 for me

I am not saying this a deragatory she is a slut, I am saying that all her other characters have that exact very steamy scene, it's like it's mandatory to have a sex scene because she is known as a sexy character in all her previous works. Yes I would comment on a male actor for having the same scenes like I did with ji chang wook he had 3 shower scenes in consequitive dramas i call there fan services that don't serve the plot

I don't think I can ever re-watch this drama, let alone that boring romance. She is such a Mary Sue character and honestly the whole i am gonna sacrifice for my love and family is outdated and here is made in a very bad way that it doesn't leave any impact. How should I put this the only value in her is her marrigiable status aka she is absolutely beyond useless. The fact that she is supposed to be a disciple of that great general but learns noting from him and really doesn't do anything other than longing and crying. everytime I think oh here she is going to do something she ends up doing nothing. The only thing this drama melted was my brain. Bai lu I freaking loved her in the legends and I agree you don't necessarily have to be physically strong to be a strong character but she was neither smart or witty or charismatic. With that said it's a watchable drama I did drop it 2 times then pick it up. If I have to summarize how I feel about it I could have lived just fine without watching it. But again it's about taste this is one of the worst dramas I watched this year for many it was a really solid one to each its own.

Oh I know about it, I just wasn't in the slightest drawn toward their romance. I don't know how to put it he was an uncle, a general but a really bland /bad lover, he never chose her or seemed too affected by her marriage. The second male lead seemed more desperate and willing to do anything for her. I couldnt feel any chemistry plus not a fan of modern settings it never feels as continuation of the historicals but an entirely new drama

You worded it beautifully. I would say despite it realistic depiction, it's not a cynical drama but an uplifting and comforting one which I love. A true hidden gem

Man this went beyond and above my expectations, I came into this thinking it would be a little romance of a depressed self pitting woman but man am I wrong!!! First of all ruoxin has taken my all time favorite female lead position, the highlight of this drama is not the romance which is more of a sub plot in this drama but ruoxin having the best comebacks to the incels and bullies here as the title says she is a rational woman that never gives up her ambition in male dominated world if this was a historical she would be a strategist, cauz that what it felt watching her stay at her job and rising to the top by pure wit, no matter how hard they try to get rid of her , they can't outsmart her. The romance as I said a sub plot that doesn't fully start until late on but honestly it's the perfect pace, it felt very organic they didn't just fell in love at first sight but let me tell you despite qi qiao being this younger man he was such a MAN very mature reliable, he never went on his word once he made a promise he had to take it to the end. What a swoon worthy man I freaking love everything about him, one of my favorite male leads character for sure, he wasn't just a shadow or a love interest to ruoxin but he had his own strength, also his mom is one the best mils out there I love love love it. It is very much a modern masterpiece for me, It has been so long that I have seen such a solid Chinese drama I didn't skip a scene loved every second of it and plan to re-watch it soon!

I wish I could forget this drama so I can watch it all over again still can't move on

Last thing the funniest thing about this drama is really no one absolutely no one gets a happy ending be it the good or the bad ones everyone is miserable or dead lol I renamed it the anti happiness drama after this ending
