Really enjoyed this drama! I love that the female leads are strong and capable, .The male lead was definitely my favourite male character because he was so shameless 😂 The way he pursued the FL was entertaining, but also gave me SO much second-hand embarrassment at times. I was literally like, “Sir, please have some dignity.” 😭🤣
I also really loved Bu Shu Lin and Cui Jinbai’s love story. I’m so glad they finally got their happy ending because they deserved it. ❤️ And honestly… I was kinda rooting for Shen Ying Ruo and Prince Lie too. 😅 I don’t know, I just feel like they would be perfect for each other!
My only complaint is the repetitive poisoning plot. I feel like so many dramas I’ve watched lately have to poison either the FL or ML at some point. 😂 Like, can we please find another way to create tension?
Overall, I really enjoyed the strong female characters, the different relationships and the romance. Definitely a fun watch!
Another woman who wasn't hit in her life enough times to know better...That part of "PoJ" is like preselection,…
I’d recommend Till The End of the Moon and Goodbye My Princess. Both got that slightly similar vibe to Dengkai, but not 100% the same. They’re all toxic in their own way, but TTEOTM hits different,he’s not as toxic as Dengkai, more like tragic and broken than straight-up evil. And maybe the story of kunning palace too heheh

I think you’re reading too much into it.
I can clearly differentiate between fiction and reality. Complimenting his acting doesn’t mean I’m romanticizing or wanting that kind of relationship in real life.
It’s a drama. His character is toxic, and that’s exactly why the performance stands out because he played it convincingly.
Feeling pity for a fictional character and appreciating good acting doesn’t suddenly mean someone can’t tell fantasy from reality. Not everything needs to be taken that far.
I know a lot of people are already appreciating and complimenting Zhang Linghe and Tian Xi Wei—and they absolutely deserve it—but I’m here rooting for Deng Kai and Qian Qian to get another drama together.
Deng Kai really deserves more recognition too. Even though he plays the antagonist, he left such a strong impression on me. Like… you know he’s wrong, you know he’s done terrible things, but somehow you still feel bad for him. He’s crazy, he’s evil, but the way he loves Qian Qian… it’s just on another level. It’s intense, obsessive, and honestly kind of heartbreaking.
Don't waste your time on this. 🛑The 'revenge' plot was so underwhelming, I actually felt bad for wasting my hours. It started with potential but ended up being incredibly draggy and messy. Honestly, watching the wife try to get even was more stressful than satisfying. The ending? Absolute trash. Save your sanity and skip this one. 🙄

I guess I dont need to start this one bc a lot of disappointing comments about the ending. I actially wanted to…
You will never know if you don't start yourself. The ending is not that bad; I had seen worse endings than this, and I'm not regretting my decision to watch this. Give it a try 🙂
