i watched the anime version as a kid. this adaption was cringe at first but it got better and better
I really like this adapatation, though sometimes I feel like they don't really explain the game all that well and don't really spend enough time going through the fact that Shi Guang (Hikaru) is a Go Prodigy in dept. Shi Guang is suppose to be really good at replaying Go steps in his head and his really good at trapping his opponents by making bad moves that even Chu Ying (Sai) doesn't notice. But I guess there's a limit to how much they can show in the adaptation due to China laws on how many episodes tv series can have which is super lame. :/
