I'm watching ep 1 now and i have noticed that in a lot of the temple scenes (e.g. conversations between master and jet) have Thai subtitles but other parts do not. Is there a reason for it?

yesterday, I accidentally scrolled to the comments and saw someone ask if it was a happy or sad ending and they replied happy ending. I didn't realise that they were just being sarcastic and went ahead and watched the remaining few episodes, thinking everything would be fine. EVERYTHING WAS NOT FINE!!!! I had my hopes up and now my heart is broken. I can't believe so many of them died, including my baby bai jiu :'(
But i absolutely LOVED this story and i hope they make more cdramas like this
