i would say this is both of their best work in terms of acting. Both of them have a lot fluffy romcoms in their resume. for acting, ZZH participated in an actor TV competition called Everybody stand by. He had a few good performances in it, they are only scenes, though. GJ has a BL under his belt, Advance Bravely, if you want to venture into early chinese BL before censorship put a full stop to it.

i think being in the business for 10 years has made ZZH build a shell around himself, but you can tell he's very in touch with his emotion with his instagram full of book quotes. GJ to me, feels like a naive and happy go lucky kinda guy, and ZZH sees that innocence and wants to protect it.

this is so far down the line, I don't see this happening for maybe 5 years. The author needs to finish the book, publish the book, gain attention for the book to see if it's widely well received, investors need to see potential in the project while XiaoChu works on the script. Assuming this is all done, at that time, we don't know the fame status of GJ and ZZH, they might by at XZ status,and it would cost a fortune to make this. And they need to have time in both of their schedules. Nevertheless, still hopeful this might happen, but it's so early. Would rather them collaborate on something more tangible in the foreseeable future.
