Just watched this. Great movie. Definitely deserves a better rating than it has currently. I assume its because the only subtitled version of the movie online is terrible.

Gong Seungyeon definitely deserves all the praise and awards she's gotten for her performance

the comments criticizing the show are doing it bc of the writing or the chemistry of the main leads. not because they wanted siho and hwal together. i haven't seen anyone complaining about that since the show ended.
anyone who complains about the main couple aren't automatically doing it bc they prefer hwal-siho. i think most people who shipped those two stopped weeks ago anyway, when it became obvious it wasnt going anywhere.
i never shipped anyone because i knew it would end in tragedy anyway, and i did not know gsy before starting the drama. but i felt from the start that hwal and sangwoon's chemistry was lacking. gong seungyeon has been praised by korean netizens for having chemistry with literally everyone she was on screen with. im sure thats part of the reason why people shipped her with hwal. i mean a lot of people even shipped her with ok eul tae bc of the 1 single scene they had lol

One of my big takeaways from watching episode 1 is that Gong Seungyeon should do more serious sageuk dramas. I liked her a lot as Siho but her performance as Dan Sol blew me away. She has a natural grace/elegance to her irl as well. I think she fits that role perfectly

He didn't just "come to rescue her" he went way too far. Not all the humans wanted to kill her. And he KNEW how much she cared for the two humans she helped raise but still wanted to kill them.
Also.. Cursing people for eternal lifetimes just because they stabbed you is hilariously petty.
The Hwal in present day knows that he was wrong to do what he did, I wish the people defending him vehemently could feel the same

I enjoyed Bulgasal for the most part, but outside of the 1st episode none of the drama looked like it had even close to a 40 billion won budget. Where did all that money go??

"Aloners" its a low budget movie but it got a lot of praise both from Korea and a bunch of International film festivals

She won for the same role at 3 different award shows but Blue Dragon is usually considered the most prestigious/popular in South Korea. Thats why people tend to bring that up the most

I think she had the most convincing cry scenes of any of the cast. Especially when the auntie died. I also love the way she uses her eyes to subtly express different emotions.
I found out yesterday that she won a blue dragon award not too long ago. So if anyone wants to argue that she's not a good actress im just gonna assume they have no idea what they're talking about :P
