Her recent dramas are top notch. Tokyo Tarareba Musume is perfect for adults, given that it’s adapted from a josei manga. Shiranakatte Ii koto is good if you’re going for a darker love story. Watashi, teiji de Kaerimasu is a good work-centered drama.
For her older works, I recommend: Love Shuffle, where she played a mysterious but impactful character. Bokura ga Ita is one of the best shoujo manga adaptations for me.
Is she really a member of happy science cult? Shimizu Fumika wasn’t able to promote due to the same controversy, I haven’t seen mainstream projects from her since then. Glad this is not an issue for Yuko.
I love the songs sang by Maki and Haruka! It’s so emo-rock, though I barely listen to rock music Japan does produce great gems even if it’s only for a movie/drama.

Yes, all of the characters were inspired by real persons, with some alterations. I’m not sure but I think Nogi Mariko (Tsunematsu’s character) is really an AV actress and was the spouse of Muranishi. I kinda feel sorry for her if that’s really the case.
The producers are really aware of his Toshi’s charm. He’s been my favorite character since season 1, and when I thought I couldn’t love his character more than I did, they changed him from a pervert to a respectful lover boy. Shinnosuke and Mariya’s chemistry is phenomenal
