Hi, just wanted to ask if you’ve read the novel. Because in the novel, NJL was exactly like this she used makeup,…
No, I havent read the novel. But regardless of how it was written, the makeup still doesnt do justice to the genre. Its an action-fantasy romance, so at least during action scenes they should tone down the makeup. Even then, it looks really odd seeing her with full makeup and dark lipstick. The makeup doesnt look natural at all. Dilraba is naturally so pretty, one of the most beautiful actresses I have seen in cdramas yet the makeup doesnt highlight her real beauty. The foundation is so obvious and looks fake. A more natural makeup style would have looked much better. The makeup department has done a terrible job here.
Coming to her character, I did mention that im getting bored of her solo scenes and her scenes with the ML, because they are not very engaging at the moment. But i also said that maybe her role will develop more later so im definitely going to continue watching the show. I like the drama but yes, i do have some complaints as well. Thats all.
Show me one comment where i disrespected them for liking the makeup, the storyline or anything else. Just go and…
I appreciate that you dont see me through the same lens as those obsessive fans. I really dont understand why they think im a hater just because i have a different opinion. They directly attack me as if i abused their favorite or committed some crime. Imean, i wasnt even hating. Which hater gives a drama they supposedly hate an 8.5 rating??
I do like the show but of course i can also have a few complaints and i simply expressed them here as my opinion, while also sharing what i liked. But they still labeled me a hater. At this rate, these obsessive fans will even turn neutral viewers, who watch the drama for the storyline rather than the actors into haters because of the hostility they show toward anyone who disagrees.
Since i don't want to engage in any kind of unnecessary & petty fan wars so i will just say it here - You’re…
Show me one comment where i disrespected them for liking the makeup, the storyline or anything else. Just go and read the comments again, that enchantress bitch was openly being racist toward me.
And i wasnt even disrespectful to that other Dilraba fan. Go and read the comments again. Im simply not interested in petty lil fan wars but if they attack me, im not going to stay silent either.
I would suggest others to kindly don't engage with user @socialpulse that person is here with not so peaceful…
Yeah, don't engage with me, i wasn't even begging for attention to anyone, you guys simply couldn't digest people can have different opinion and not everyone is hater.
So it's actually blessing if ur obsessive cult don't engage with me.
I had the same thought. I’m a Reba fan and yes she looks great here. But the make up/styling screams Reba rather…
💯 agree with ur opinion. I also felt they are trying hard to setup her as badass fighter character but even i can't feel it. I guess different makeup nd styling could have made bit impact on how they wanted to portray her character. And yeah i agree in parallel world Nini's character actually felt like badass fighter, I think they really developed her character well there.
And yes ML's character is flat atp, but hopefully it will improve.
I hope it is okay to have a different opinion since Tbh, I only noticed the make-up after you mentioned it, and…
I thought this was modern fantasy drama, that's why I didn't liked overly done makeup. Both lead's are naturally so beautiful they don't need additional foundation tbh.
Sorry but I find Makeup and styling flawless. Have to say this is one of the best styling I have ever seen on…
You're so obsessed with your fav that you can't even tell the difference between nitpicking and a simple opinion. That already tells a lot. Go cry harder somewhere else.

If i was hating or nitpicking, i wouldnt have given 8.5 score, not every other person is hater of your favourite, neither im interested nor i want to waste my time on nitpicking or hating her, its simply not worth of my time. What i felt, i just expressed here it as my opinion.
You're supposed to feel like that ATM because yes she is detached that's basically what she's striving for
I know that & I also know that in later part she will play major role in story. But right now, her scenes just feel boring to me and thats another complaint i have with the show at this point.
My biggest complaint about this drama so far is the makeup styling of the leads. Oh man, its godawful. The foundation is clearly visible and whats with Dilraba’s super dark red lipstick in every situation?? No matter what she is doing, she always has a full face of makeup, whether she is fighting or just walking around. Even the ML’s makeup is overly done. The production team needs to remember that this isnt a historical fantasy or a chic office romance, its an action fantasy set in the modern world, so the styling should reflect that tone.
Apart from that, im not enjoying the FL's solo scenes, whether she is with the ML or just by herself, because nothing happens in them. She feels too disconnected from the main storyline. Maybe later she will take a more active role in the plot but right now she isnt contributing much.
Rather im actually enjoying the scenes with Ms. Lin and the mountain hunters gang more, they are at least intriguing.
I don't think so cause season 1 and 2 are connected, so probably 3 would also be part of the main story line.
Main story is already over in S1. This show is anthological crime drama. Anyone can watch any season without watching prior ones. Just lil knowledge about lead characters nd main concept is enough to watch show from any season.
DearX E8 was absolute cinema. Ah jin is definitely one of the most fascinating and complex main characters i have ever seen in kdramas. Her breakup with Heo In gang was one of the coldest and cruelest breakup, she was absolutely ruthless. But this episode also showed that she still has bit of human side, especially in her moments with Ingang’s grandmother.
What happened to his grandmother pushed Ahjin back into the same dark pit she once fought her way out of. Her complex personality is truly fascinating to watch. Its sheer brilliance and the way the director executed everything with perfect bgm and perfectly conveyed emotions, is just so perfect.
This was an intense and emotionally exhausting thriller about domestic violence. It was engaging from start to finish, though some parts felt really heavy and tiring to watch. I honestly didnt expect to like it, but in the end, i did.
There were so many moments where i wanted to jump into the screen and beat those piece of shit characters, especially the ML and his detective sister. They were truly awful people.
Both Jeon Sonee and Lee You Mi did a great job. Lee You Mi, especially, was amazing as the victim of domestic violence, her acting felt so real and heartbreaking.
Overall, it was a really good thriller with a dark and tense atmosphere that kind of reminded me of Lies Hidden in My Garden.
E1-4 Another banger thriller dropped this week after The Manipulated. Kim Yoojung completely owned the screen, her performance was powerful, haunting and easily Baeksang worthy. She carried every scene with such intensity that its impossible to look away.
I love how the drama balances its dark, gory and gritty tone with deep psychological tension. Baek Ahjin is an exceptional manipulator, the way she twists every situation and uses people for her own advantage is both terrifying and fascinating to watch. Her performance in final scene in E3 was pure brilliance and will definitely be remembered for a long time.
Even KYD impressed me here. I didnt feel any overacting or awkwardness, his performance blended well with the tone of the show.
I honestly cant wait for next Thursday, the next episodes cant come soon enough.
