Just rewatched this for the 3rd time, and its one of my favorite older dramas. The relationships between the characters and the perfect soundtrack will always pull at my heart. Such a masterpiece :D
Of the many forbidden love dramas that I have watched so far, the characters had the best writing. Which is weird considering when this drama was aired. For a 2002 drama the characters actually acted with some common sense, anger when Sung Joon found out but only initially. He wasn't first to quickly blame Pil Seung. Same goes for other characters as well, which made the story well written and delivered without major overreactions.. Honestly a score between a 6.5 - 7.0 is fairly appropriate, not good, not bad, but better than meh.
Watched the 1st episode interested but not hooked. Despite the ML being narcistic, he wasn't over the top. FL's character seems meh, which seems to match the character description perfectly. Gonna block this from my mind, as I feel like this is one of those dramas where its best watched as a binge.
Holy crap this is so good, this is gonna be my 1st wuxia drama where I actually watched 90% of each episode so…
Okay WTF is this plot after watching ep 28... This is crazy. Now it makes sense the characters were too well written for it to be just a wuxia drama. Fast-forwarding is my best friend as I hope tot speed run watching this to see how things are revealed..
Holy crap this is so good, this is gonna be my 1st wuxia drama where I actually watched 90% of each episode so far without fast-forwarding..I'm only 10 episodes in but this is blowing me away how good it is. Sure there is typical royal politics (in which i strongly hate) but it is not over done and equally balanced out with interesting developments in relationships, romance, and friendship. So far if you really dislike historical/wuxia dramas give this a try...
Okay long story short started out as a typical cdrama and even had all the pieces to be really good but starts to crumble as you watch. This show is literally a catfish where the first episodes has the most attention given, and then it crumbles as you watch. If you really must watch this, do it in one sitting as it will make more sense (kind-of) and leave you with less of a headache.
So far only watched 3 episodes, but for once I like both the FL and ML and have no problems with the character…
now about halfway through and I'm only now realising flaws by how choppy the flow is. Its like a road where there are potholes, you know and can kind of see the direction of where the story is going but the journey is a little bumpy with uncertainty..
Just watched the first episode, but was it me or does it have bad editing cause the transitioning sucks as a scene jumped from phone call to suddenly the ML is there offering a tissue...
You may not notice this at first, but as you see more closeup shots of the ML, you wish he had more expression in his eyes. Hes kind of got that dead eye look...
Was watching up to ep 8 at a decent rate with the fast-forward button with recaps but idk what happened I massively skimmed through the rest 8 episodes in under an hr., as I kinda got annoyed until the end episodes.
