Rowoon has proven himself as a solid actor not just a pretty face. So proud of him.

Some people complain about the lack of chemistry between ML and FL. This could be one the reasons why they rate the drama poorly. Personally I think their chemistry is just fine. I don't think there needs to be lusty passionate make out scenes or wet kisses to prove there's chemistry between the leads. Their cute and fluffy chemistry is very enjoyable to watch. I think this drama is underrated. It has unique and consistent storylines, colourful characters, beautiful costumes and cinematography. It's one of the better historical dramas I have watched in recent years. It's a 8.5 for me.

By the same token, your dislike towards idol actors and maybe Rowoon in particular has somehow skewed your opinions and made you over judgemental with him and his dramas 🤔. Anyhow, you are entitled to your opinions but I am mine. No need to make an exception to respond to me.

The taste to dramas or actors is subjective. The Matchmakers maybe substandard to you but it is a gem to many. Your opinion is only as good as mine. If you don't like it move on, no need to step all over those who like it. Let people enjoy whatever they want. And don't make another exception to respond to my post.

I love this drama. The drama is about love, relationships, personal growth and life choices told in a light hearted tone. The heroes and villains all have their comedical moments. The king sometimes forgets he's king. Shim Jung-woo and Jung Soon-deok are tragic characters but audience see them bright and comical because of the way they carry themselves. There's no intense actions or passionate love scenes but all scenes are done superbly. It's a secret gem and a breath of fresh air in today's swarm of traditional sageuk.

Some say they should have casted an older looking actor for the role of the CP but I think this casting was intentional. It's done to show it's not unusual in those days to have a much older queen to take care of a young prince.

Yes there are lots of Rw and JBoa shippers, some even ship them irl, lol. They compared and even ridiculed Cyh. And Rw receives a lot of hate from fans of his ex group, & from fans of that othr idol actor you mentioned. They like to put Rw down bcos they think their fav is better lol.

Lots of unjustified comparison and downrating from 1) shippers who got fixated with Rowoon's role and pairing with the actress in DWY and 2) Rowoon haters who are jealous of the spotlight he's getting from his b2b dramas in 2023. Rowoon is becoming a really versatile actors. The Matchmakers deserves a higher rating than 7.9, it has comedy, romance, suspense. It's light hearted and has likable characters, good acting and chemistry from not only the leads but the supporting cast as well. The directing and cinematography are grest too.

I guess FnC is not able to find them other jobs so they put 1 in as an extra and another to sing an OST.
