I want to try and judge it for myself, but it's geo-locked. What country is it available in on WeTV? Are there any other legal sites that are carrying this show?
Well, I went into this blind and I must say that I'm very pleasantly surprised how well they put the first episode together. Reminds me of that nostalgic anime kind-of vibes. And then ofc they way they wrote the end of the episode, unexpected but unsurprising nonetheless. Let's see if it's able to keep the pace!
That pinky scene is more impactful than all the NC scenes I've watched so far LMAO
I didn't know but I shed tears watching that scene. Between Tinn hesitating for a moment and Gun reciprocating that gesture, it was so pure my heart couldn't take it!
Just a question for those who have watched UWMA, based on how they've written Pharm and Dean so far, do you think there'd be no need for new viewers to watch UWMA to make sense of P&D's story?
I know from Episode 1 that this is probably going to be one of those shows that I would hate-watch, and so far, I've been right. Is it mediocre (bordering or actually bad)? Yes? Well, it could be way worse, but am I going to continue watching it (sometimes at 2.5x speed), also yes. 😏
Sometimes, entertainment need not be exclusively gained from some deep, thought-provoking story, we're all allowed to enjoy some things our own way, and that could be laughing off at the ridiculousness of some of the things we watch. Whatever floats your boat.
As someone who has watched a lot of BLs, let me tell you, there are very few ones that you could objectively praise…
Sorry, I meant no disrespect nor condescension. And like I said, your criticism is valid, and I can see myself agreeing with you even when I already have an opinion about it.
I tend to try and be flexible, I find shows that are worthy of the flak but also enjoy them when I can/want to. 😂
And you're right, it does beg the question why people watch the shows they do.
But, the truth is, and to answer your question, we may never know for certain because some people just do and whether or not that's childish in your or anyone's opinion shouldn't matter in the grand scheme of things since it essentially boils down to personal preference. Some people can't be bothered by the story and some the opposite, and many people in between.
And maybe for this show, let's admit it, the intimate scenes are a magnet, and there's no shame in that. 🤭
there's nothing to follow?? all the scenes are so random 😂 lol why are people so into this bl
As someone who has watched a lot of BLs, let me tell you, there are very few ones that you could objectively praise as actually great but this is not one of them. Definitely, your criticism is valid, but as much as I or some see all the things can be nitpicked about the show (and there's a lot), I, for one, can't seem to bring myself to dislike it enough to drop it even when I said I probably would since the first episode.
All that to say that sometimes, people just want to watch what gives them the butterflies or even makes them genuinely happy without the need for critical analysis and thinking; heck even if sometimes it doesn't make sense 100% of the time. And yes, people have varying degrees of tolerance on how messy or cohesive the plot should be, some might have high standards, some just don't care much at all, and that's OK, we're not all the same anyway, you do you.

While you offer your take on the way the backstory is written (which is debatable), that's hardly the main point I take issue on in my reply. Whether or not the reason for his current state makes sense the way it is written is distinct from the implication that one should automatically be happy when one is a superstar.
As far as your criticism is concerned, your last point could actually work with the point you said you can't fathom, but, again, whether or not that would work and translate WELL onto screen is a different story.
I'm sorry but I feel bad that I felt no emotion when hearing about '' Puen's ''hard life '' in the other universe…
Asking "is he not a major superstar ?" to imply that he should be happy is to misunderstand the character at the point when we had the most exposition of his state-of-mind emotionally. Also, let me just reiterate that fame and money does NOT always translate to happiness and contentment.
To be honest, I'm not sure if I liked it. By no means was it bad but it also wasn't great. I mean it's the first…
I completely agree. It had the classic BL tropes and then some. Knowing that it was written by Mame had me on full guard on what to expect, she has yet to redeem her writing at this point. And after all this time, all I can say is she's only moved a few inches from where we were back in TT days.
Unfortunately, her style, her formula and the tropes she uses is what sells in the mainstream, but that doesn't mean that we're getting tired of it. Though, I liked it enough to consider putting it in my already long watch list but I'm keeping my expectations tempered at best.
Does anybody think it is wrong kissing someone who is sleeping ? Consent? Anyone?
If there was one thing that I'd nitpick, it would be this would be it. It distracted from the experience but I can't say that I stopped loving the show because of it. It's still a big deal, and I'm not going to pretend that it's OK, if anything it's a minor(?) misstep (relatively) to what is an otherwise great show.

They were making an unnecessarily big deal/seemingly blowing it out of proportion: re: the stolen kiss.
