I think this drama was (1) over edtied to pass review or (2) it's just don't know where to go with the plot
(1) So first, it kinda show us that the ML wants to find his brother to better understand why he is basically a vampire, then proceds to try it one time and that's it. He is done making any effort. So we are not looking for his brother anymore. (2) The Li guy wants to talk to ML to undo some publicity damage, he fails to talk to him, proceeds t o kill him then when it doesnt work try to talk it out. WTF? XD Now the plot is basically trying to hunt the ML for no good reason (In my opinion (3) The romance starts good but them it gives the impression that the ML sees the FL basically as a kid. FL clearly has feelings but ML is the first person in her life that treated her like a human. Llater they get back to the romance but for me it's still odd because of that (4) There are a lot of other odd stuff on the series, like the FL parents are basically gone, the new bad "girl" with the warrior/ninja guy totally out of place. The white hair guy that gives the magpie as a mean of trading information but still there is no place for what reason either the guy or the magpie is in the drama, they guy clearly knows stuff but he is totally gone. Also I feel kinda odd that the drama make more effort to show the FL drinking blood then the actual vampire XD Where are the stealing blood packs from the hospital? Nothing? D:
The plot feels like it's aiming at everything without really going into anything at all. I watched 10 episodes, basicall almost half of the drama and it's like that :/
So I watched 17 episodes so far and I wish that when it comes to story they would stick with the rebellion/change the future of the FL's family the entire series. Doing story arcs didn't really worked for me in this series.
Two dramas that I think didn't get in a lot of people radar's are Oh no! here comes trouble like you mention but another one is An Ancient Love Song. This one is such an amazing drama. It's not that long compared to the standart of chinese drama but regardless it's really worth the time if you like romance or just good solid time-travel stories. Just like reset felt like a breath of fresh air in the way it tackles time-travel/time-loop An Ancient love song does the same as well. Highly recommend it!

Continue on buddy, the story is going different and better than the original one.
There are only 2 episodes left and based on the epi 15's preview I'm like 100% sure they will not gonna follow the JP version with the cheating stuff. Well, I did not watch the JP version but I saw people talking about that. If that's the reason you are waiting you can just go and watch c:
As someone who has read the entire webtoon before by sheer coincidence I hope they make justice to this. It is a little bit cliche but it was such a nice read.

Totally agree with others. This drama is just a masterpiece. Also love it every aspect of the romance! It just gives me butterflies and the drama overall is like a warm hug in a cold day (kinda, I can't even describe how it makes me feel >/////<)
