I really needed to watch something with Cheng Lei before LOTFG 😍😍
Then you would be happy to know he has another drama lined up after LOTFG. Shadow Love though seems like a mix of LOTFG and A Dream Within A Dream, it will be fun to watch him 3 different characters. Yandere Enemy Prince, Mysterious Shadow Assassin (with white hair) and a comedic puppy-like follower. We will get enough Cheng Lei this year!
Since getting into cdramas, this is the first time i read the novel before watching the drama adaptation. Idk…
I know the struggle. In my experience first watching the drama and delaying the book was good for me. Most of the time book is better and more detailed. Even it isnt the case, it has been better to have a visual representation for the characters from the drama while reading. I just hope you wont be dissapointed. You can keep me updated on your opinion after watching.
I wish I had the patience to wait 😩 every episode just wants me to watch the next, I wish it was already complete
Exactly my biggest regret is not starting it after it is complete. I am only on episode 14, yet I cant seem to stop myself and dreading to catch up. It flows so smoothly.
I wish they had less of Chu Zhao in the drama. I have nothing against the actor, but the character is just so…
I think more in the lines of 'Keep your friends close, enemies closer.' She might be trying to get to know him better to decide how to deal with him. That is just a guess, of course it might be illogical love triangle cdrama logic also.
Just watched 1st episode and I liked the casting. Wallace Chung as the father (yes! one of my favorites!). And the child actor has very similar eyes to Xiao Zhan. Well chosen really. The story captivated me from the start so I will keep watching!
Everyone is talking about Rise of Ning. Here I am first time seeing him in Creation of Gods as Yang Jian. I have a bias because of the game I was playing has the character. And I loved to see the live action portrayal of both Yang Jian and also Nezha. They didnt credit him for the 3rd installment yet but I hope to see him in there too.
Dont stop watching when the credits roll. There are 3 seperate scenes added after film ends. First with the fox demon and Shang king. Second is about Wang Ziya. Last one is introducing next movie's characters (and Giants). Promise of a bigger production. I am off to watch the second and camping for third.

fr! Physically exhausting martial arts, long scripts to memorize, microexpression control, hanging from wires (that I heard hurts them a lot and dangerous),etc. Add to that trying to not get distracted by loud noises and constant movements on set, not even including actor rivalry and catfights and bullying/suppression from more popular/top billing actors/actresses. Finally adding to try and fit a day or two to singing and dubbing to your busy schedule (because not busy means your career is dead). Truly exhausting.

They use loud machines for visual/practical effects and the director uses a loudspeaker on set. There are several other sets filming around too and sounds mix up a lot.
Yeah for the fl someone did, and it's so similar to her real voice that it was almost unrecognisable
Another reason is they have loud background noises during shoots that is hard to isolate or clean up. Dubbing, adding ambiance noises and music is more effective than a time consuming and expensive cleaning.
Only 35 minutes in, and the level of manipulation to get FL to agree to the marriage, wow.Given that she has amnesia…
As a woman I also agree with you about the ML. He is off by miles. He should stuck to villanous roles which he pulled off better. For a lead he has a long chin I cant look away. It is just keeping me away. Not my preference honestly.
I binged through the first half very quickly, but I can't seem to get into it in the same way after the Mt Kunlan.…
If you want to see Zhuo Yichen fly with giant wings and slay keep watching. If you want to see Li Lun make a turn around and redeem himself perfectly keep watching. If you want to see a perfect brotherhood blossom with tears in your eyes, keep watching.
It was only 10 episodes, so it was a breeze to watch. Subtitles were okay, not grammatically correct but still understandable (closed off the correction side of my brain). There were a lot of steamy scenes (yes, including the main leads) and a lot of nudity (mostly upper bodies of males though, so yay for me). It was obviously made for the female gaze/sentiment. Women were assertive, more liberal than historical Confucian teachings (it is a fictional kingdom anyways). Now about the ending... Throughout the drama there were subtle hints about the character ending up with different faces and destinies. Once crown princess asked to crown prince that. And one of the main leads declare undying love even if the other changes their face. My guess is that, they might not absolutely have ended up in their own bodies. Or they did but chose another path. Who can blame FL? 2nd ML gave me a 2nd ML syndrome. He is decent, respectful, honest and his best trait is he likes the princess unconditionally. He cares most about her happiness so he is willing to let her go to find it. He deserves this second chance with his good karma the most. I am not angry with the ending AT ALL. If you want to let off some steam with a cute and hot romantic comedy, it is watchable. At least I enjoyed it. Though a bit shocked but still... Have fun!
I watched him in Ying Yang Master and at first watch I didn't even realize he acted both old and young versions. His acting is amazing. Completely different feels from both characters he acted.
