The comment section is interesting. I'm inclined to believe that the audience here is very young. This story revolves around ordinary people and deals with a lot of real issues, but most people are stuck on the fact that an actor is sighing too much or that there isn't enough LiMing and Heart. I think the plot does a great job of balancing out all the characters and their stories. Each character is complex in their own way. LiMing and Heart's blooming friendship balances out Jim and Wen's complicated affair.

In defense of Earth's acting as Uncle Jim, the guy is almost 40. He is an older working-class man, who owns a small chicken rice restaurant and is dealing with a lot of financial issues during the pandemic. He isn't going to be the flamboyant and flashy character like Wen who is a young white-collar worker that lives in a nice and modern apartment. Each character is unique on their own. I think the actors do justice to them very well.

how old are Jim and Wen in the series? if everyone calls Jim “uncle” he must be a few years older than the…
According to an interview, Uncle Jim is in his late 30s, almost 40s. Wen is in his late 20s and Gaipa is around the same age as Wen. I think Alan is just a year or two older than Wen and Gaipa.

I enjoyed this series so much more after the second watch on YT. EarthMix never disappoints, but it's mostly the script that I had a problem with. The overall storytelling lacked a special spark and the road trip dragged on for longer than I expected. EarthMix did their best, but sometimes it's not the actors' fault if they can't save the story.

Now that the series has ended, I can finally talk about the NOVEL! Of course, there are aspects of both the novel and series that I loved, but here is a bit of what I loved from the novel (I read the novel a few months back so my memory might not be 100% accurate):

- Win and Korn's fight spanned over 7 years before the whole bodyswap happened. Yes, 7 years is a long time, but personally, I like this timeframe more compared to the one year in the series. It just makes it more believable that Win HATED Korn's guts. Win held a grudge for 7 years and although that doesn't justify him being an ass to Korn, it just makes more sense why he would be a complete dick during their roadtrip.
- The novel did a good job of explaining Korn's side of the story. Both Korn and Non knew the mom was in the wrong for never telling Win about the will. Korn's reason for not telling Win was because he knew that whatever he said to Win, Win would just see him as a liar. Korn would have to break it to Win that his mom is greedy, selfish (and homophobic) literally days after Win just lost his dad. Win already had to drop out of school to help with the farm, so adding his mom's mess to Win's plate would've completely crushed him. I just feel like the series DID NOT do a good job at showing Korn's side of the story.
- Win found out that his mom was the culprit while still in Lin's body. Him and Korn had a good talk and they went back to being on good terms even before swapping back. Once Lin and Win swapped back bodies, Korn and Win continued to be stuck at the hip. Korn came to the farm almost every day after work just to help Win out with the farm while Win recovered.
- Lastly, I liked the ending of the novel WAY more than the series. Once they swap back, Win tells Lin that she should still marry Korn, which gets Korn pissed. Korn completely ghosts Win for weeks and Win gets super sad cause now the table has turned with Korn being angry at him. Lin convinces Win to apologize to Korn and invite Korn back to the farm. Win's first attempt is a fail, so Non has to convince Korn a bit before he agrees to show up at the farm again. Win and Korn have a fantastic confession where Win apologizes for being a dick and confesses his feeling to Korn. Korn accepts the apology and the confession and then they live on the farm happily ever after.
- Yes, the dad is the cupid!
- Korn and Win go to the oceanside to spend their first night together cause Win couldn't live with himself having s*x with Korn in the same house where his sister and mom also sleep. Sensible kid.

Sorry if my grammar is horrible. The end!

I love this series with my whole heart and as a Phupha apologist, I've been seeing slander of my favorite man lately, accusing him of not apologizing to Tian. So today I've come with receipts. Chief Phupha, in fact, did apologize to Tian after the heart reveal (Ep.9 4/4 @ 25:17).

Your welcome.

we, as the audience, spent literally 7 whole episodes doubting if tian was the one who killed torfun and saying how upsetting it would be if it was true. but as soon as phupha and the villagers get upset over the same exact problem we had, everyone suddenly gets all angry at these characters and now this series has bad scriptwriting cause the characters aren't acting like what you want? im pretty confused here. i mean, the series literally built us up to this exact moment.

also, this might be a hot take, but phupha and the villagers being angry at tian is not off character at all. i kinda enjoy it cause i want to see tian's character development. this series revolves around tian learning to love and forgive himself. if phupha and the villagers were hand holding him throughout this whole process, i would be utterly disappointed. they are supposed to be there to support him but they can't make him love and forgive himself. tian has to learn how to do it himself and it won't be easy at all but when he comes to that realization on his own that's gonna be the most beautiful scene ever.

Wow. This series is so good that the biggest flaw of the entire series was the peeping scene. Talk about superior series behavior. Anyways I hope no one decides to drop the series because of this minor scene.
Just like Tian, we were probably all pretty curious about what dog-howling meant only to find out it was super odd and erotic. That scene was only like 3 minutes of a 45 minute episode. I would say the rest of the 42 minutes trumps that one scene. Now can we talk about how Dr. Nam basically said no to miscommunication and guided both Phupha and Tian to talk to each other? Cause that was adorable and beautiful to see healthy communication happen in BLs series. Dr. Nam is working hard. I love him so much.
