We know that but this is generational and it's clear that Jim's options were limited due to education, timing etc. So I'm not hating on his ignorance. And sadly there are a lot more Jims in this world than Li Mings
I totally get the Jim character (sighing aside). He was cheated on by a lover who he can't even angrily scream at as he dies and it would seem somewhat distanced from his family. Yet he has nephews to look after and a business. The burden is heavy.
So he wants better for Li Ming and for him not to struggle in the same way he did not acknowledging how they are in different times. He's going about it the wrong way but, parenting isn't easy!
Wen I find selfish and unlikable. Still don't know how Alan and Gaipa are going to get together in 2 episodes of at all but Gaipa deserves someone as into him as he will be into them.

I was enjoying this until ep 9. We got amazing soundtrack, decent kisses and even a side story. Then it got a bit too silly and turned into Unforgotten Nights. *le sigh*
