Maybe as I'm coming off the back of Lovely Writer I'm struggling with the production level, script, casting and sound. So I'll drop it for now. I'm not really rooting for any of the couples and that's 2 episodes in. The step brother story is probably the least poorly cast. Oh well!
This episode was better except, why show the parents what he did? And their over reaction? Gill handled the conversation like a pro and there's definitely character development but the 19 yr old step brother continues to be problematic.

Yeah I'm going to have to check the screenwriters more carefully before investing time. I think as they're proper adults in 4 I'm less forgiving although they're messed up. Sigh.

I don't think he did until he saved him from the Director and even then he was hardly gushy. He worked to different moral code and that missing an exam hit hard. But yes, I hate the bully to lover narrative that is all too common in BLs. They just got away with it in MODC but from stalker / jealous attacker to lover / love coach? This is a real stretch
Whomever cast the Arthur's gang bullies needs to be fired. They're the least scary gang. One with the cornrows looks like he an X factor auditionee. Weird choice

I was being sarcastic about MODC as I just can't fathom how it's the same person! Can't wait for MODC 2 though. I think it's brave that they're trying a comedy but maybe this would have worked better with a shorter season like a History 2 length not 20 episodes

I'm guessing a s2 would focus on the Mhok storyline but I agree, would love another series from the same team as this has been almost flawless. (Some of the music moments have jarred a bit but that's the only thing I can fault :D )
Hands down my favourite Thai BL EVER so far. I struggled with issues of colorism, bullying, non con, rape in some of the others.
Maybe because they challenge so many of the annoying tropes such as the fujoshis and the non con / over sexualisation and focus on character and story telling. And consent is so important. I love that they show it constantly.

Maybe it's Covid because I can't comprehend that it's the same screen writer as Make Our Days Count. That was so beautifully done and we all fell in love with the characters and the relationships. If this is an apology for the ending of MODC1 then, this isn't working for me. Apart from the problematic criminal elements from episode 1, there are way too many holes in the story and jumping around of feelings. We are now half way through and I'll continue to watch hoping that this is a game of two halves and they REALLY sorted out their writing / plot by the end.
This is the best series I've watched so far. This and HIStory 2 Right or Wrong. Mainly because I REFUSE to watch episode 10. It's funny, it's sad, it's realistic. The acting is sublime and it's definitely work watching. Can't wait for season 2 now
