What writer thought it was a good idea to put the seriousness of Bas's situation and tears alongside Ait's childish tantrums and get everyone to pander to the little prince. He's boring
Me stuck on why everyone has a crush on James? I'm team Marco and Bas separately and / or together. The other two are a bit meh this season. Also doesn't Bas really need the money? So he's not got the privilege to not work and we all know the industry is small.
I really like that last part. What bothers me the most about the "evil female" in BLs is not that she's excessively…
Ah yes. I hate when I'm watching viki and there are people in the comments questioning who is top and who is bottom. Who cares! And then writers perpetuate it with the whole wifey / husband thing.
The BL lack of consent issue is what makes me struggle with it as a genre. Also they always make the bottom ill the next day with the fever like, wait, is that what they think happens with anal? Bizarre!

there's definitely internalised homophobia and misogyny. Hence they insist on characters not being gay and only gay for that one person. Sighs in frustration

There is a lot of misogyny and Heteronormative tropes in the BL space sadly which is why I always separate it from Gay Drama. I do think these female writers have a lot of toxicity especially when there's violent sex /rape unnecessarily. I'm here for the love story, not the meddling. Women either resisting or meddling in gay love is weirdly just fiction I hope
An example is Lovely Writer where there weren't any evil women (maybe Aey as a little more feminine) but then they had the producer and the sister who owned the agency upholding some of the negative BL ways.

Right? Given that the majority of BLs are written by women now I'm shocked that this evil female character who refuses to accept that he doesn't fancy here exists. It drives me nuts. Bad enough we have the other dodgy tropes like bully to lover etc. And they never get the right level of karma. Ever. It pisses me off. Let her suffer for meddling. Go get a man who wants you, damn
Oh and, fuck Aunt Susan

Also cray cray woman alert.
