I think if they do it through a KBL lens and not a SKAM lens then it would work as KBLs have the level of drama needed. I think this will be a strong remake

Germany was different as you describe. Italy and Spain it was season 2 not 3 , Spain was women not men but most of the Isak / Evan ones were pretty similar with local differences and I've seen 8 SKAM series now (not the Russian or South American ones). The bipolar theme was inconsistent for most. NL and Austin didn't get to season 3 unfortunately.

'i think the ideal is 30 minute episodes over 10 to 12 weeks. Either way I always feel like too much is left out of the manga or we are not given enough dialogue between the leagues. More thoughts.

This one does well with the dialogue but piecing together what happened when they were at school has felt bitty . 22-23 minutes

I'm the same. Glad that they have a diversity of work but as a BL fan I prefer to watch those shows. But yes, this many actors from the BLVerse threw me. It made me optimistic :D
