In china, undergraduate students are usually between 17-21 years and masters between 21-23 years on an average. So in campus reality, MM shouldnt be more than 25. His style of dress and his whole instructor (they usually see undergraduate s as some preschool or high school kids who needs their concern and protection ) could make him look old.
