I have not said that it is going to mislead teenagers and make them go down a certain path, however, I've seen some gay people (from Asian countries especially) believe that the way this series portrays things is okay (the drunken sex without consent part and stuff) as well as many stereotypical things, even tho it's just a bunch of fanservice to "hungry" fangirls. I am aware that not everyone thinks that way and I also wonder if they just mean "it's okay bc it's fiction" but I've seen some misleading comments. It bugs me that this is the standard, when there is way more to the community. This as some said should not be regarded as representation of the lgbtqia+ community as it is much more diverse. Again, you are not even reading my comment or have a hard time understanding it maybe, I don't know. I will comment when I feel like it and I'm watching this to later critique it, which I stated before. It really irks me how a lot of you just won't grasp it that I'm allowed to feel this way about a show. My problem with all of y'all is that I am probably right about you, as I've stated, I think you guys are just drooling over seeing men fuck or whatever, hence why I threw shade. It's not my problem that you can't distinguish between a quality show and a not well made show because you are blinded by the concept (bl) instead of how it came out. In this show's case, the writing is terrible and very unoriginal (full of cliché), events/happenings make no sense and there is no depth, it didn't come out well. The actors could've done a better job if they were given better scripts. This right here isn't even just my opinion, others feel this way too, if you read trough the comment section you'll see that there are many of us. I am watching this for an entirely different reason than you do. You can watch the show, no one told you to stop and I definitely did not shame you for watching, I told you that you should think about why you get such a feeling watching stories of gay men getting raped. I did throw some shade which I apologize for! I watch a hell of a lot of bl and I do enjoy some of them, I am also in the lgbtq+ community, so I will critique things that don't represent people in the community (in my opinion). Some bl tropes should just be thrown into the fucking bin already because they are really outdated and honestly very boring at this point. By the looks of it we are going to have some better ones coming in the years to come.

I think you need to chill!! I am allowed to come here and comment on this thread (comment section) because I am not breaking any rules on this forum. Also, this is the internet, if you can't handle an opinion then you really should re-evaluate your time spent on this forum. There is literally no need for anyone to defend this show, at this point you guys are just taking the criticism personally which is kind of weird. If you feel so "guilty" that you have to defend yourself like I just accused you of a crime, maybe, just maybe it's time to re-evaluate your fetishizing of gay men too?. You see I might've liked bl blindly in the past but as I opened my eyes more and found my place in the lgbtq+ community I realised how problematic the bl fandom can be and I want change. Change starts with speaking up on things you don't like, even if it's offending people. I am expressing my disappointment w this show because I used to appreciate the HIStory franchise. I didn't agree w everything, but some of the previous works by the franchise were at least better written and acted. Everyone knows it's not real life, but all the people enjoying this "fantasy" of gay guys raping each other and people sleeping w their (adoptive) brother so much makes me wonder what kind of people are y'all? What do you enjoy in it really? Are you drooling over the guys or what? Because I'm certain it is not the great writing, editing and amazing morals of the story (sarcasm) that is keeping you watching. The only somewhat enjoyable parts are maybe the moments between the main couple and even that is overshadowed by what Li Cheng did to him before they got together, it was sexual harassment. If I offend you then there you have it, but I still think there is a line that shouldn't be crossed even in fictional love stories and this is where it crossed it for me.

@J100 I disagree, not saying that the HIStory frenchise is great but they did have better ideas before. I think Right or Wrong for example, tho flawed, was still way better than whatever the hell this is trying to be.

I wish that some of these Asian countries could step up their game and actually make the lgbtq+ a focus. The representation would make it easier for people and we could have much more complex+in depth stories come out.
I just have to vent after watching the 1st EP. I already know that I'll have problems w this show if I'll even watch further. If they are going to romanticize the stalking that seems to be happening that is already a big red flag, but I have so many other issues with it. Can we just leave the damn fetishizing in the previous decade??! Women who fetishize gay men are not quirky, cute, or funny. That is not a personality or a good trait, it is a problem, get some help! She had potential as a character if her whole personality wasn't just a "fujoshi"/"shipper". They are just going to use her to move those two (Li Cheng and Muren) closer even tho they could've done it without her and it would still make sense. Don't even get me started on the very inappropriate groping/touching of each other's genitalia w/o consent, f*cking yikes! Li Cheng's character is really annoying besides being an asshole with no self-awareness. The other HIStory stories at least tried. This one not only doesn't hit the mark but also seems very sloppy. As someone who has seen a lot of bl, I wish they stopped writing these abusive tropes into every drama and made it a little more serious and realistic. I really don't understand why anyone lowers their standards (in regards to story quality) just bc they are thirsty for gay men.
