What makes it great is that this type of story hasn't been made before recently AOS gave similar vibes nd one another great series starring same ml Zhang Ruo Yun which is SWORD SNOW STRIDE these two series are also in my most fav list. I checked your watch list and saw you liked the series AOS nd legend of fu Yao a lot. What I can tell you the best part about joy of life is the ml he's like the ml of legend of fu Yao as smart as him or even more in scheming nd tactics nd the similarities with AOS is that jang UK nd fan Xian ml of both series back stories are kinda similar they were both kept hidden for a long time nd slowly they unravel the secrets about themselves that were hidden from themselves. Nd what extra is that ml has knowledge of the modern world also since he has memories of their. He uses those also to his advantage in the current era he is in now this has great fight scenes, has brotherhood, he has a sister too which is very supportive of him so good family relations he discovers more allies while unraveling the secrets of his birth nd more mystery events later on, it has good cinematography, I don't want to reveal the plot otherwise their would be no fun if you know already. The lack of rom is like there's not much skinship btw the fl nd ml but they do have other types of intimate moments like hugging etc but MLS interaction with all three fls is good nd entertaining

It's in my most fav series list so yes I enjoyed it a lot and about the second season some users are saying in comment section that it's gonna start filming in next year but I don't know I didn't find any official announcement somewhere I didn't search much but if others are saying it might be true

At first when they met each other they didn't knew about each other at all but they got attracted to each other already nd later on when the misunderstanding were resolved they got together there relationships are not toxic at all but some situations the leads face later on makes things difficult but ml handles it. The misunderstanding part is that fl was engaged to the ml but she did not know who he was nd iirc ml also didn't but he founded it first. So as the fl fell in love with ml without knowing who he was. So she wanted to break up with the engagement so that's the misunderstanding part which was later resolved by ml but they already were in a relationship kinda phase. more fls will appear nd will like the ml also nd they too are not like the usual sfls they not toxic but instead supports ml later on

I have finished it long ago. The thing is the original novel has many love interest for ml nd they are married to him by end of the novel as its harem genre which is normal in Chinese series based in historical fantasy. But they couldn't follow this in live action adaptations nd that's sad
If they can do this in og source why not in live action there are a lot of fls that will appear major 3 that will help ml throughout the series in his story the ml is the center of the story his revenge nd more mystery that he will reveal. I am waiting for season 2 nd 3 now.
