Well someone did say this is a low budget type drama so no budget for that pesky wench character.. and apparently the ML needs to display his gorgeous form to deflect from some inadequacies of the show. No complaints here

There is a very bad term for female characters her type known as TSTL too stupid to live.. and nowadays one can only hope that writers imbued some intelligent brain cells into such type of female leads but Chinese writers seems to be struck in the Middle Ages with characters behaving this way which makes viewers like me so annoyed but at least they present us with such gorgeous visuals in the form of the ML, one tends to forget how inept the female lead’s character is

Yes he is an eye candy although my post was about my point of view as a viewer. However eye candy, endless shirtless scenes and an ML who does everything for a FL is always appreciated

I watched a few episodes of Maid’s Revenge now and it has all the typical C tropes - revenge story about the usual poor with no resources and no brains FL always trying to do something so incredibly stupid, she always gets caught. The typical evil as Dante mother, the annoying trying to be evil villainess half sister, the ever so predictable whiny second FL and the hapless might as well be a eunuch second ML.. the ever arrogant ML who thinks the world revolves around him ..but like a train wreck, one can’t help but watch to see what it does in each stop (episodes)..the only good thing is, each episode is short so no time consuming is required as a viewer… the saga continues..And yet to my surprise, it has an 8.2 rating.. train wrecks are delicious and addictive to watch just wish for better writing and characterization

I am really liking this drama from the get go. I judge the dramas I’m watching if I get hooked from the first meeting of the leads. In this drama, their first meeting was different, and so much fun to watch. I like the chemistry, acting, pacing, and the story line so far. Downside is the trope used of a powerful CEO who is clueless when it comes to the romance department and has to take advice from his male supporters on what to do. I dislike this trope because it always shows a male lead with a high IQ and zero EQ, why can’t the ML use some sort of his brain to understand his lady of interest and make his moves from trying to understand her. Nevertheless, this is one drama I’m eagerly waiting for new subbed episodes. I also like their height gap and the ML is very easy on the eyes..

I’m always leery when a drama is based on a manga. I’m always trying to check out new dramas I watched episode 1 of this show. Yes, it doesn’t present a very positive light on all characters from the female lead to the male leads. The male lead is the usual fifty shades of grey type - a control freak who seemingly likes the female lead and has no ethics to show how he likes to control her. The TSTL female lead is a poodle of a weak character who can’t seem to find her beating between the 2 male’s.attention but gravitates towards the male lead for sex. Anyway, not much of a story and everything one would hate for a viewer looking for a romantic storyline. However, I just take it as a grain of salt and see where this leads to. The male lead I’ve seen him in You Are My Destiny and here he looks more mature and menacing. He plays the role of a cold controlling jerk to a T based in the many negative feedback about his character so the actor is doing a good job. I want to see if he could give Dori a run for his money in playing this steamy type character. As for the female lead, she’s your typical TSTL female lead found in most J dramas missing some brain cells apparently and just bumbling through life. I think it’s dark funny if you can suspend your disbelief with these type characters.
