Literally just smashed this drama and did an overnighter, I'm sad it's over too quick. As someone in her 30s who has grown up with Asian dramas (Jdrama, Kdrama, Cdrama, Taiwan drama, Lakorns and etc) I have seen most if not all tropes. And what I find refreshing and have always been a favourite has been non-toxic, sweet. faithful/loyal MLs- that is why I've been drawn to a lot of YANG YAN's drama because most of his characters are exactly that. What Gu Jia Xin brings to the table is certainly something similar, with an added something MORE - he is approachable, relatable and as close to reality. He isn't perfect, and that makes his character a whole LOT BETTER- his character development, along with the FLs (and the rest of the cast) was definitely a joy to watch.
This Drama is sweet, with lots of heart and funny moments. It's a type of drama that I would describe as VIBES only as opposed to a heavy plot.
Ha ha.. first off. Many many returns of the day..may this yr n all the yrs to come bring u ur hearts content..blessed…
Apologies for the late reply but thank you and appreciate your birthday greetings. I still love this drama, but I still stand by skipping that unnecessary ending. After all their hard work and plenty of deaths and tragedies it just ended like that. Wishing them for another contemporary romcom.
I always think she's a Thai actress. And now I figured it out. Her, Bua Nalinthip and ParkMinYoung were like make…
OMG! We had the same exact thought too, I thought for sure she was that thai actress from that lakorn but I didnt know the name or title. But wow!! soo true, definitely update if you end up finding her Japanese counterpart.
So, its currently 5am (my birthday) and I've just binged watch this. Was legit waiting for this show for ages as I have always loved Yang Yang and Zhao Lusi's work. And while you can't deny their amazing chemistry, and the initial episode's awesome production. I just felt totally let down by that ending. I haven't read the novel, so I am merely judging by the drama. Theyve literally nerf Han Pu and Zhong Li near the end. I feel like from the middle episode till the ending the pacing was all out of whack. Nonetheless a very entertaining drama.
Just finished the first episode, was super excited to get into this as I love Xu Kai. But, I’m really not feeling the female lead- a bit dry and her acting just doesn’t flow for me. As I was watching this, I had numerous CDrama FL actresses already on my mind that could’ve done her role- was thinking of Liu Renyu from Love Equations (she even already has the haircut too).
