I'm gonna be honest phs and the supporting senior cast CARRIED this shit show for me. I was already losing it over the plot in the first few epis which was a bunch of rich dudes losing it over one man who could memorise numbers these rich mfs couldn't remember the damn password to access their own money like what?! anyways I feel like the post production and editors played a huge role in giving that edge of the seat feeling cause the plot was just not it. there was no plot twist that i couldn't predict the only thing that kept me going was the hope that something different might happen. as for the ml and fl chemistry I'm sorry the fl gave me nothing it just felt too one side from him. ok but the ml is built from something else cause why tf was he just dying every sec but also not dying just insane this was more of a makjang for me than it was a thriller but enjoyable for a while nonetheless I'm on the 10th epi and hoping i watch it without skipping a lot of it.
*incoming rant* so the first 4 episodes actually did a pretty good job building the plot, giving us enough of the backstory on the leads and why they behave the way they do now cause of what happened but idk if it's just me I could see way more of emotions coming from the ML than the FL for any emotional scenes discussing their breakup or their past. I get that he suffered a major part of it and from what's been shown is more angsty and broken cause of their breakup but the FL literally is so stoic and just overall giving absolutely no indication of them having a past at all! she literally has the same expression mocking him or just blankly staring at him for all the scenes I've watched them in and last episode was my breaking point. I'm only continuing to watch this cause of the ML who is very clearly carrying the plot for me right now. I'm hoping I'm able to pick up on their chemistry within the upcoming episodes. Either way I will complete this drama just cause it's that one rom com you can watch with your brain switched off after a long day.
the people here clearly didn't pass the vibe check 💀 I'm an avid hater of dating reality shows however the drama does it in a way that I'm actually enjoying it and not getting irriated by it one bit idk what it is but they're doing smthg right! ALSO wtf do people mean that the leads don't have chemistry are we even watching the same drama?! the comedy element is there, the leads are getting serious when they need to, there's some character development too idk what's wrong with people here taking it so seriously?! damn sure the same people would watch the classic rom com with some slapstick comedy and sound effects in the bg every 10 sec but can't watch a balanced rom com that has the pace of the plot set right AND its only been 6 EPIS! just don't watch it if you're gonna complain every 2 secs!
I genuinely thought that this drama would be my ultimate fav fantasy rom com but the writers did a perfect job of RUINING basically everything that made it unique. the actors were robbed of a good script another let down this year ðŸ«
ok wtf was that ending though THE 1ST HALF HAD A PERFECT BUILD UP AND THEN THEY JUST DESTROYED EVERY BIT OF THE ROMANCE PLOT THEY HAD (more of a sub plot at the point)
I'm happy the do shik was able to redeem himself but the ending for woo hyeol is so vague he went through so much for that?! this is why I hate dramas with an open ending. I don't want you to leave it to my imagination just give me a proper ending I'll be alright. things were already going somewhat illogical since the 13th epi had started might as well give me an alternate future where he is alive.
I had high hopes from this drama but was actually robbed from a good second half and unnecessary dragging at the end should've been a 14 epi drama at best 16 was not worth it...
STOP THE WAY HE LOOKED AT HIS REFLECTION IN HER EYES AND CALLED HIMSELF STUNNING THE TENSION WAS 😳! the neighbourhood patrol scene where she apologises to him just gave me another reason as to why I love the FL cause she's so self aware of people around her and doesn't use her situation as a reason to ever bully others a s we see in other dramas that brings me to the point of COMMUNICATION that's really well established between them already a good start to a relationship!
the conversation between woo hyeol and 2ML damn intense their gazes were razor sharp 👀
The reveal actually did not take time at all and I'M SO HAPPY ABT THAT! I thought they would go on dragging it for a bit bit damn that was soon! can't wait to see what happens next week
the ending for ep 5 was pure perfection the tension was so damn good! and the FL here I think has to be my fav of all time just cause of how practically and emotionally mature she's written as a character and ofc props to Won JI An for her portrayal for the cherry on the top. The scene where woo hyeol comforts her brought tears to my eyes... not to forget the 2nd ML giving her the space she needs and not just taking advantage of the situation PROPS TO THAT!! I have to give it to the writer for writing such mature characters with the comedic parts along with the banter giving me a good laugh! I think this drama so far easily tops my list of the ones I've watched so far this year!! THIS IS WHAT I WAS MISSING IN KDRAMAS FOR SO LONG!!! its an unexpected but welcome surprise for me

oh and to mention the comedy is pretty decent (sometimes the ML gets thrashed too many times but he's just a boy lost in love and identity as of now so I'm OK with it) Cause they dont use weird ass sound effects and just the dialogues are enough

I love the loud FL×shy ML trope and to see that in a kdrama with the FL actually being sensible and not just eccentric abt everything is refreshing to watch! so far haven't found a reason to drop this as compared to the other dramas on air
