Just saw the novel got endorsed by the official Twitter account of Thai Royal Ambassador in Tokyo. Just hope the series become more popular globally. Then it will give GMMTV another motivation to increase their BL production budget, which in turn will improve the quality of the future shows.
So, who is this "Wan" mentioned in the trailer for Ep 7? Cmiiw, Earth's character "Whale" in EarthMix latest MV is pronounced "Wan" too. Will we get a surprising crossover next week? Lol I'm just hoping.
I'm intrigued the most by Aoey's story. Sadly his story isn't explored that much. Honestly I'm quite disappointed with the last ep, but overall this is a good series. Not too dramatic, but not too fluffy either.
is there going to be a second season? need way more of this couple
I guess it will be one or two special episodes, because:
- In a reaction video on YouTube (unfortunately I forget the exact episode), p'Aof's friends talked about the continuation of the series. But p'Aof immediately shut them up with funny facial expression. It's kinda sus lol. - The novel has a special chapter not included in the series. This is why I think if the series got a sequel, it would be a special episode instead of a full series.
This series is light-hearted and comedic. A perfect watch after diving in a pool of Tian's tears lolol. I like Duean and Meen's relationship development.
So I've just finished rewatching the series in one go (the dedication lol). The more I look at it, the scarier the similarities between Tian and Torfun are. It started with Tian consciously do what Torfun wanted to do out of guilty in the early episodes. So far that was okay. But later on Tian started to unconsciously do what Torfun used to do. He incorporated her thought, her language, her body movement. He basically morphed into something like Torfun's ghost. I didn't even know whether he was still aware of his own self's existence. Whatever it was, it wasn't good for him.
Now I understand better why Phupha really wanted Tian to leave the village. His intention was good, but I think he executed that poorly. He could've communicate his intention in a better way. But then again, Tian was stubborn, so I can see why Phupha did what he did instead.
But, I don't know. I'm not a psychiatrist. Maybe I'm just thinking too much or too emotionally.
I think ATOTS can be a sign that GMMTV have allocated a bigger budget for their BL production. I’ve watched the behind the scenes. No way they could build an artificial village and convince the crews and the actors/actresses to go to a very cold mountain in Chiang Rai without big pay rise. Not to mention the insurance and the bureaucracy. These need more money.
I just hope the bigger budget can translate into a better production.
When PhuPha and Tian are injured in their right hands... Why did PhuPha drives the vehicle??? Like how? Lmao.
That’s one of a few weird things in the series. My best guess is it’s either the car was always in the first gear all the way to the village or Tian helped shifting the gear.
Ugh, I hate Earth Pirapat.. Should I still watch this? Is it THAT good?
If you hated him because of his acting in his previous projects, then you should watch ATOTS. This is his best performance imo. Hope it will change your opinion on him.
The last episode was too fast paced because, tbf, it were difficult to keep the story slow if the climax of the conflict (Tian's confession and Phupha getting shot) happened in Ep 8-9. I think the climax came too late for a 10-episoded series.
I scratched my head when Phupha appeared ALONE in the cliff in Ep 10. It was a red alert call and going alone in such situation practically means suicide. It was weird.
Some of Tian's crying scene looks forced too. I may be biased here because I really like how Gun Attaphan cried (lol) in Theory of Love. Mix needs to learn the dark arts of crying from him lol. But for now it's okay because it's his first time. I'm sure he'll be better in his next series.
This series is not perfect. BUT it's still one of the best Thai gay-themed series/films I've seen so far. The other one is ITSAY. The main soundtrack, Ni Taan Pan Dao, is so beautiful. It's now on my YouTube Music playlist so I'm gonna listen to it everyday.
I still can't believe this series can portray love that strongly without even using "I love/like you" or "will you be my boyfriend/husband?" words. It just shows me that love doesn't need a label. The label is just technicallity.
I will write a review for this series and it will be the first time I do so. Shows how deep this series affects me.

Move on. There are many BL series/films you can enjoy if you don't like this one.
