Go girl, give us nothing!
Some people need to start watching things other than BLs. Like, what do you mean this is good? We need to stop praising mediocre pieces of media just because it has our favourite couple & is a BL.All aesthetics & no substance & the acting is criminally atrocious.
The show has everything going for it, an interesting plot, released on Netflix etc, but the main leads are just not it. Don't get me wrong, they have good chemistry, but the acting is just bland and giving nothing.
Making wise, I'm not expecting anything spectacular from GMM. This also looks about the same. Their typical laidback making style doesn't fit this series. Super unrealistic considering this is somewhat a police procedural (as a forensic person, I'm screaming into the void every episode). Idk if it's worth watching.
PS, the people hating on Dunk has no taste. Have you heard of power bottoms? The absolute best flavour.....chefs kiss**😘

Enchanted, but with a twist.
STOP inserting blatant product placements inbetween emotionaly intense scenes!!Remenecnt of early 2000's romantic dramas with a touch of fantasy. Innocent & naive MC untouched by the evils of civilized society meets crude and calculating ML who is the embodiment of everything wrong with capitalism, who is not inherently evil & redeems himself.
Their relationship starts with manipulation and lies from the ML who is very conveniently named scent (not complaining). They fall in love, it's cute and they have great chemistry, but it only takes about 2 months, which is a bit unrealistic. I love PearlPeak since Love in the Moonlight. They look excellent together, and peak fits the character of Gaysorn very well.
The making & screenplay is okay. There are some editing mistakes. The ost is lovely. As i said, the blatant ads are jarring, especially during emotional scenes. These things does not prevent it from being enjoyable. It is worth watching. Requires a bit of suspension of disbelief though.

They are fu*king cousins y'all !!
Why where the leads presented with romantic bgm & chemistry if they are supposed to be related 🤮The tags literally say 'homoerotic subtext'. ( Pardon my french) What the f*ck? which circle of queer baiting hell is this? ðŸ˜Mediocre at best.
The actors are ok, costumes are pretty. Set, props & everything is passable. It's only around 15min, so not a lot of time is wasted.
The screen play is a dumpster fire. The story is all over the place. I don't know if the makers know what they want this story to be. I don't understand half the things the characters are doing or what's going on. The subtitles are shit.

Did we all watch the same thing???like hello??
TOXIC & PROBLEMATIC STUFF PLAYED OFF AS COMEDY!! 100% agree with the negative reviews.I'm not saying chinese-BLs we've got so far are masterpieces, but they were worth it (even with censorship). Even the bad ones had a minimum standard. This new kind of Chinese dramas that surpass mainland release are turning out to be so crappy.
Cringe acting, logic-less plot, sub-par editing, bad direction & shitty screenplay-- i would've let it all slide, because it was entertaining upto a point, but the ML is toooo shitty, not just to the MC but others as well. Like he literally threatens to r*pe the MC's friend & it's played off as comedy. At first I thought it was a translation mistake, but no. He can't bare to force himself on the MC but other people are free real estate, like what the f*ck? Why are we normalising/romanticising this shit? This is why BL's get such a bad rep. Everyone would be up in arms if this was a mlw drama.
The MC is annoying as hell too. I actually like the second couple more, but don't know how they turn out, because I dropped it.
I once again urge the audience to stop praising less than mediocre content & demand the makers for quality.

ONE historical CBL with a proper happy ending? No?
It's not a Chinese production, not even censored, then why does it not have a proper happy ending. It's implied to be happy, don't get me wrong, but there was absolutely zero reason not to develop it fully. Like, how do we know that's not his dream? The story is pretty basic, there is a time travel element, but it does not play much into the plot. The leads have chemistry & the acting is okay. The second (or third) couple is actually women & they are super cute. Historical Yuri is just ethereal.
Technically the 2nd cp is actually the villain & his whatever that man was. I feel like they had a more intense relationship that the main cp. The villain was actually the most interesting element of the show.
The costumes & makeup is not too shabby, idk about the historical accuracy. I liked how they managed the varying styles of different regions. Whoever did the hair styling, thank you for your valuable service.
Just average in the technical department, editing mistakes, some bad lighting. Wish there was a cleverer incorporation of the time travel. Nothing epic, but worth a watch.

Denial is a river in Egypt, your fiancé is gay!
I wouldn't call it a masterpiece or anything but it has its charm. Kinda soap operaish, but very old school romance. If you like melodramatic romantic dramas, you will like this. The leads start out as being annoyed with each other but it turns to love. Chemistry is excellent, they look good together. Their scenes are super sweet & romantic. The prince is very similar to Prince Henry from RWRB, same personal dilemma & vibes (they even look kind of similar). Acting & music is okay.
The series falls short in the technical department, mainly direction & editing. Wish it had a more solid screenplay, the father is a10/10 hater & Pin(the girl)is super vindictive & then just immediately turn around? Doesn't make sense.
All that aside, it's worth watching.

So sweet; it gave me cavities
A little late to the picture but anyway. I typically don't like highschool stories, but this one was too nice to not watch.Pros- Toooo cute, especially the MC. The definition of cutie patootie. If you google the image of a boy in love, his shy smiles should be there on top. The ML, the perfect other half. Not just a green flag, but a whole forest. They are utterly perfect for each other. Excellent chemistry. (GeminiFourth will forever be one of my fav pairings)
All their scenes together are so sweet. A nicely done highschool romance.
The ML's friend is the best wingman to ever exist.
Good pacing & songs.
Con's- All the typical cliches of Thai BLs: Annoying product placement, hyper exaggerated acting, some cringe dialogues etc. They are teenagers, so some of the cringe can be excused.
The direction & screenplay could've been better. It had the potential to be better, but still a very enjoyable & entertaining watch.

Could've been better
The story is like an investigative drama but too much emphasis is given on the drama part. Insertion of unwanted romantic subplots really takes away a bit from the story. It's like a typical Jackie Chan movie, good action and comedy, which makes it charming enough.Editing is shit, scenes just cut off abruptly. Music is decent.
There is a cooking montage every five episodes and they eat something atleast twice every damn episode. It makes you wonder if you're watching TLC instead.
There are three main characters whose roles are equally important. The MC is constantly hungry, eccentric and smart. The other main character (or ML) is a grumpy looking guy who doesn't talk much but when he does it's so soft spoken and soothing. The last one is cunning and ruthless yet has a vulnerable edge to him and perhaps the one who goes through a whole character arc.
Love their little family and the dynamics between all the members. It's a decent watch if you have time to spare.

Not perfect but sooo WORTH IT!
I don't know if everyone knows, but getting this series released was a miracle in itself.Yeah it has some cringe and also some bad product placement scenes but those don't take away much. All the minor deficiencies are made up by the rest of the show, be it the superb chemistry of the main couple or the excellent cinematography.
I keep seeing people's comments that it's overrated but let me tell you it's not, within good reason. The show is amazing technical wise, the frames don't look soap operaish instead are of great quality, the best in Thai BL I've seen so far. The music is absolutely amazing. The supporting cast pulls their weight and more. Even the clothes, make-up and styling is gorgeous. This is evident especially if you watch the first version (cancelled) of the series.
And of course the highlight is kinn and porshe, it's fireworks whenever they are together. There are some problematic aspects due to an equally or more problematic source material (novel). But the writers of the series have mellowed it down a lot.
It's a different experience for those who are sick and tired of High school or college BLs.
Ps. Not safe for work

Like my ex, disappointing.
I really really wanted to love this completely, but it left me unsatisfied. The first episodes started out strong but the quality just petered out. The leads have excellent chemistry & is one of the reasons to watch this. But their relationship progression felt too fast. Most everyone is shitty in this, especially the father. He deserved to die twice. The brother is annoying & sister is evil. MC starts out like them as well, but changes later. The performances of most actors are just average.
Story was promising, but the script was underdeveloped and most times illogical. Should've made it more slick & cohesive. The action sequences with Daou was some of the highlights. Product placement makes it look cheap as always. It also falters in the technical side. The 7/10 is only for the main leads. It's a one time watch, nothing spectacular.

I did not like it at all.
Idk what y'all are talking about. Seriously, did we all watch the same show? The story is a mess y'all. First this Mo Ran guy is in love with this Shi mei chick and then there's another guy called Shizun who's also in love with this Shi mei girl.
These two men are fighting for her, and they are also fighting a bunch of different other stuff like demons, giant skeletons & psycho men etc. This Moron guy also has split personality disorder, where one is a brat, other is normal & the last one is an emo goth, idk.
Honestly, if the two guys (Moron & white clothes dude) just stopped fighting and made out with each other, it would've ended with 3 episodes, (they act like they wanna **** each other anyway).

80% Magic Mike 20% plot
They are always dancing, like there is a sequence in almost every episode. If you like that kind of thing then this will probably be enjoyable. I get second hand embarrassment from the reactions of all the extras, but that's a me problem. The making is okay, the frame quality is good. Technical wise it's nothing too shabby. The acting is meh. I wish the writing was better. If they had developed the investigation part more, it would've been good. The extensive shot lengths of the dances take away from the seriousness of the narrative.
The lead actors have good chemistry and the baby is super cute. I didn't like any of the characters expect wayu & his friend. The ML is a grown ass man but acts like a teenager. The family are annoying.
Worth watching if you are unemployed.

It's Khun Thee's world & we're just living in it.
Do not come looking for substance here, this show is just vibes. This is just a silly little series, throw logic & reality out the window & it's fine. Slightly better quality than a typical GMM production (GMMTV, listen to me, QUALITY OVER QUANTITY please!!)Pond embodies Theerakit kian lee to the max & his performance is the highlight of this show. His over the top melodrama is entertaining & endearing & his charisma stops it from veering into cringe territory. The rest of the cast is what you expect in a Thai BL. The leads have good chemistry & the second couple has better chemistry & is super cute. The third couple is just toxic (but it's a rom-com so haha, right?)
Honestly this show is not to be critically reviewed. It's full on fun chaos & vibes. It's guaranteed to make you laugh & have a fun time. That being said, the blatant product placement just cheapens the emotional impact of the scenes.
If mindless entertainment is your only need, then this would suit fine.

It's just all over the place
It feels off for some reason, like super awkward in most scenes. I can't pinpoint exactly what, screenplay/direction/editing, something is not working. There are issues with the plot, hopefully it will be fixed in coming episodes. The acting is bad, partially probably due to bad direction as well. They have chemistry, but the NC scenes so far felt very uncomfortable. I was looking forward to a series that included all aspects of omegaverse, but I don't know if this will be enjoyable.

Sick and tired of toxic BL men
Most chinese productions have a particular pitch- exaggerated melodrama. Not always bad, but mostly unrealistic. This also follows the same path.It started out sweet and fluffy, lulling me into a false sense of security and then bam! SA. The main character can be bad, but there should be acknowledgement of it in the narrative, otherwise you are just excusing that behaviour.
I can't say anything about the technical aspects, because I dropped it. The production quality looked decent in the initial episodes.
Watch at your own discretion.
