They have made censorship more strict in the last few months, every few weeks there are new rules. When this script was written it was better and suddenly just before or after filming the rules changed. Censorship isn't an excuse, it's a terrible reality for creative people living in a dictatorship.

I think if it was political Republican Era and supernatural together it may have had problems getting through censorship. The Chinese communist party is now very touchy about both elements. The writers weren't lazy, they were afraid.

I don't mind her voice and it suits her roles perfectly, but after LBFAD and her great stint as the demon, I think they should occasionally give her the role of an evil woman. She is obviously a very good actress, so why is she not getting roles that show off her talent and diversity?
