I don't really know why I bothered scrolling down, because I noticed pretty much the same 10 people fighting over 234 comments, which is slightly appalling to me. People who see this as a drama will see this as a drama, and people who see this as romanticizing a cruel history will see it as such. It seems more of a war of prides at this point, which is usually how most conflicts start.
Anyways I hope that if the drama gets cancelled the actors and staff will still be compensated fairly, because its ultimately the rich Production companies that approve or disapprove. So, in a pandemic world, it would be a shame for hundreds of people to lose their paychecks. If the drama doesn't get cancelled I hope that it serves as a landmark for people to do their own research and learn.
But unfortunately these two possibilities are highly unlikely. Besides the first 10,000 righteous people who signed the petition for good reasons, the other 90,000 probably don't give a sh*t about anything and just did this because they think its fun to bring down celebrities and influence entertainment decisions. And most people who will watch this drama if it aires, will only because of BP Jisoo, and will careless about the actual people who were affected by the incidents.
It's a sad reality, and awareness is really the best thing, which is why it's good objective articles like this are released. Even if you disagree, making it a talking point spreads the story, which is important. It's unfortunate as a Hae-in fan that he chose this project, as I hope he won't be blacklisted for future dramas because of it.
