Doubt it , on ep7 aswell but i don't like her atall she acts so strict for no reason , doesn't realise it's her…
I also read from another user that she keeps being abusive until the end ughhhh... I really like the other characters but I I'm not sure if I can take 8 more eps with her
what a pathetic excuse of a man that father was...I don't get how people try to find excuses for his behavior, this was not love, it was selfishness and malice. I am not happy so none of you should be. If it was love he would not treat the people his wife adored that way.
A little draggy in the beginning but overall a nice drama. The ending not as satisfying as I had hoped though
The chef and the queen returning to their bodies was already a minus but the worst part is how the vilains got off too easy. Especially the two queens who practically instigated murders and treason and weren't even stripped of their titles
aren't they tired of the last minute break-up to make-up and the ridiculous sh*t like, oh looks like someone was murdered, let me hold the knife they were stabbed with...
I just read the novels and it was very interesting to see there were so many differences. And the extras... What the hell was Incense Burner hahahah Also Lotus Seeds killed me and healed me in one go <3

Actually thanks for the essay ๐ Glad to know they put a reason behind the way she was acting because I was so irked I literally dropped it mid-episode.
I actually loved that they put a fatal case there too (although I was really sad because I really liked the character) to show that even with your best efforts sometimes it just doesn't work out.

Being a mental health professional doesn't shield you from mental health problems any more than being a heart surgeon protects you from having heart issues. That said and as you also mentioned she does have the knowledge and know-how. Denial in the early stages of depression would have been normal but pretending to be not aware of any issues after a suicide attempt is not..
So I just finished this and I have questions. Why did the mother make it as if it wasn't an accident? Like, even the cops were asking her if in her panic she run him over but she made it look as if it was premeditated..? She could have ended with much less time in jail and cause her kid much less pain. And why cut contact with her daughter? I felt that there was a lot of unessesary drama just for the sake of it, and honestly a lot of lazy writing.
That said, I actually didn't hate it, I liked the slow winter pace and absolutely loved the book club and its quirky characters. I also loved the relationship between the sisters and how they protected each other, as well as Eun Sop's with his parents, especially his mum <3
Started nice but went downhill really fast. And it is a real pitty as the diagnosis and advice from the doctors were actually quite good. I could get past most of the almost magically healed patients, instantly changed behaviours etc but I had to eventually drop it as I couldn't stand watching a supposedly mental health professional deny her depression even after being enclosed in a psych ward after trying to commit suicide. Even if it is hard to aknowledge your own problems, depressed people are not dumb. I would accept it from a person that did not believe in mental health disorders in general but not from a mental health professional. Same goes for her mother, acting as if her daughter cannot possibly be depressed even though she was at home not eating and just sleeping for days. I kind of hoped it would get better after the attempt and they would be shaken back into reality but nope, FL just throws her pills in the toilet. I am dropping it here but I do hope it gets better and more realistic for those that manage to push through and also to hopefully open way to more dramas that adress mental health issues in the future.
Harumichi's family on the other hand was sooo cute

as in Taiwan not Thailand
