tbh le zhi accusation is more absurd than you ling. just because an exec treated her well suddenly she's having an affair with a married man? yu ling is somewhat understandable but the slap would come because she's making the accusation from her jealously of her own lack of achievements and competency in her work as shu yi. when you ling is more senior and older
the thing with shu yi is that she's been academically and career focused her whole life and is clueless about relationships (especially makes sense if you've read the novel) on top of that she's taking relationship advice from ruo shan who ironically is so confident giving out advice even though she is relationship-phobic and bad at them herself. really is shu yi listened to her instincts that told her not to play games or to absolve her guilt early by coming clean about her initial intentions when she realised her feelings shi yan probably wouldn't have been so mad at her vs hearing about it from others. sigh. but im still enjoying this drama only they commissioned way too many episodes it should've be ~25/ 30 max. also shu yi is better than me i would've slapped both sides of yu ling and le zhi faces with all the accusations they've thrown at her

for me my issue is all these scheming side characters are frustrating af and when you see that type of character in a lot of dramas that don't get a clue it's exhausting. plus 3 of them is a bit excessive and builds up so much angst. though i do believe the main leads are doing the best they can navigating it so i don't have any problem with them. plus i hate the whole break up for the last 3rd just to make up in the last 10 mins structure (if that's is whats going to happen based on the teasers)

1.) ML runs an investment company. companies especially smaller companies need money/funds to grow and evolve. in return the investment company get shares which they make money off of. Idk if they specify it but the FL ex works in tech or something. but basically a regular paying job 2.) The ML has never before really been involved in the media so to get an interview from the ML (a rising star in the industry with a promising company from a very high profile background) is a great boost to her career. Because the magazine she works for is a print magazine she has to do the interview, write an article and get it approved by many parties before the print deadline. 3.) Which 2nd ML? Prof Yu You - his expertise and knowledge is beneficial for advice on what companies to invest in, what the market scope is like in each industry etc. In addition his values and approach to investing are in line with the ML, which is different approach than the elders in that field. the ML is serious about social responsibility and long term gains whereas most investors want quicker returns. mango tv consistently does terrible ai subs which sucks because i would rate some of the dramas much higher if i didn't have to use so much brain power to decipher the bad subs. also very few if any subs get repaired after airing so if you want to watch it watch it. unless they are invested from the beginning to get good subs then we're screwed
