I feel like every time there is a drama where the story is deeper with a strong scenario and complexe historic background, the MDL users rating is very low…
More frustrating is viewers complaining on a weak scenario while then prefer drama full of childish behavior, staring, clichée…
This Drama is really good and is sadly spoiled by all the cuts and the very bad English translation.
Hope we will get the full version one day and I will definitely rewatch when my level of Chinese is better.

Totally agree, the FL is very deep and her act
consciously making decision with respect for her own goals and respect to herself and other women. Love is important but she doesn’t get blind because of love and pursue her aspiration.
Dialogs and vocabulary are very complex and I hope they will improve the English translation that was totally wrong (automatic) during the first broadcast.

I agree that lots of scene must have been deleted, hope we will have the deleted scene leaking like Arsenal Military Academy, I find the story consistent even if some detailed explanation are missing for the portrait for exemple. But I had to review many times some scenes to understand. What I appreciated the most in the scenario is the fact that she wants to change ancestral rules about concubine buried alive, even if we don’t know for sure if it was abolished by her, she says she is confident only legitimate ancestral rule will continue to by pass over future generations. Definitely very old chinese, lots of chengyu. Hoping for a better translation soon.

I definitely think they didn’t consummated before, If Yzp is in love with him at the beginning, she is really disappointed that he allows innocente concubine to be buried, that’s why she refuses herself to him. We she thinks he is dead, she tells YYF that now she would be ready to be buried alive with the emperor (because she loves him) and she regret she didn’t tell him
In person. YYF wants to be emperor and have YZP, he kills himself because he realise YZP loves the emperor and has reasons to do so….
I really like that she is fighting to change the ancient rules. I would have hope she would force the emperor to void the law before accepting him. The emperor knows YYF is chasing her because he goes fight him before going to the red chamber, and ends up not going…

I rely agree, reminds me of the secret of my success, the FL Is doing an amazing job acting like a spoiled child and wearing Vuitton and Burberry with a crazy style. Characters are bit exaggerated in my opinion, for example SML but the idea is really good and I love challenging dialog to improve my Chinese.

I actually think her wardrobe is typical from this spoiled 2nd generation rich Chinese, and it fits her perfectly, I love her LV airband, short skirt and burburry tunic, not a big fan of “earsband”, but her silhouette is amazing and style very audacious.
