You have mentioned reading the book... Out of curiosity, how did it end in the book? The way things are going,…
I think it's going to be a happy ending for the drama. In an interview with Wallace, he even mentioned that it's a happy ending. As for the novel, I would say it is also a happy ending, but there was not a lot of sweet moments between the ML and FL as the FL only realized that she wanted to be with the ML when he got into an accident while protecting their son. It basically ended with him waking up from a coma (typical ending lol). I think this drama will give us more sweet moments and a happy ending :)
I just finished episode 16 and my thought was TJ you better not hurt NYS again. I can't find a reason why she would want to do that again and make them both suffer!! Also I still feel like there's still something we do not know about her father's death. It may be all a misunderstanding, it's not clear if NYS's father is responsible for everything. This is not the same as the novel.
It looks like as of ep 15, the drama is going on a different direction from the novel. In the novel, NYS never found out about the truth behind her parent's death. He just knows that he loves her no matter what and that there was a reason for everything she did. He didn't listen to other people who badmouthed her.
I like Wallace Chung without a thought, especially his voice even tho its quite different from the rest of the…
Wallace Huo is definitely a good actor too but I think you guys meant Wallace Chung lol. One is from Taiwan and the other is from Hong Kong. Both are great actors.
I understand the part about FL delaying the surgery. It's very very risky... as a mother, it's a terribly hard…
Sorry I should've been more clear, I was actually talking about the surgery when the child was born. Apparently they have diagnosed his symptoms when he was a newborn and he could've had surgery to fix his heart but because of money she delayed it till she can make more money. As a mother myself, if I knew someone who can give me the money to help my son, I will do whatever it takes. Especially, knowing who the real father is *wink wink*. But after thinking about it, maybe if she asked them for money then they probably would try to take custody of the child and things could get even more complicated.

I gave this drama a go bc Wallace Chung's acting is always good. Plus, I havent's seen him in a modern for a while…
I do not speak Chinese so whether he has accent or not it doesn't bother me. I am glad that they used his real voice as we can finally hear his voice in a drama instead of some else's.
I am not trying to defend Wallace but how do we know that he has not tried to work on his mandarin, unless they tell us, we do not know what efforts they made or not. Also, cantonese and mandarin are like two completely different languages. It's not like American english or english from the UK. My parents have been living in Canada for more than 30 years now and they speak english very well (sometimes I feel that they know more vocabulary than me. They watch a lot of American shows lol) but when they speak they will always have an accent. No matter how much I try to correct their pronunciation, to them, it sounds like they said it correctly...lol.
Though I can also understand your frustration cause when I try to listen to someone speak english with a strong accent (because english is their second language), I find it so hard to understand.
I swear, if this drama doesn't happiest, fluffiest, most satisfying ending with the main character death toll…
I just finished the novel and it made me cry but in a good way. I loved the novel and it seems like the drama follows the novel very closely with a few minor changes. Also from the trailers I've seen, it looks like the drama will have more happy moments than in the novel. So it will be worth it in the end 😊
If you think he's trashy in the drama, he's even worse in the book. They made him a lot nicer in the drama.
OMG that was a lot longer than I thought lol. Anyways as you can see, their relationship is super complicated and I guess I can understnd why FL left ML. However, he still has no clue about the past. She never told him and just left him. I don't know what hurts more, her leaving him or the truth haha. This is definitely a complicated drama.

Well, I am not done with the novel yet but I am at the point where I think I can answer most of your questions. Obviously there will be spoliers. 1. Where I am at, the husband hasn't left (I guess he will eventually leave) but he's not that important in the novel and he was even more abusive so we don't care about him lol. 2. ML finds out that he is the father himself. If you remember in ep 12 when the grandfather gave the toy to the child at the hospital, the ML went to see his dad (which is the grandfather, we'll call him GF) snd the GF mentioned that the child looks and acts exactly like him when he was little. Obviously, that wasn't when he figured it out. One of ML's colleague just had a baby and they said something about how the baby looks exactly like his father and so he realized that FL's son may be his. So, he went to get a DNA test which proved that the kid was his. (I honestly can't wait for that moment because you'll see him spend more time with the kid. The kid in the drama is sooo adorable. I want to see their chemisty between father and son) 3. I'm not at the part where they got back together yet. 4. So the big reason why FL left him is so complicated. His father may be responsible for the death of both her father and her mother. So at the beginning of the novel the father was already dead due him being hit by a company truck/car, but it may not be an accident and the person responsible is ML's father (something about compensating a disabled person is more expensive than compensating a dead person). FL's mother is a piano teacher and she had suspected that ML's dad is responsible. Therefore, when ML's dad was looking for a piano teacher for his son, she applied and got the job. She wasn't able to find any eveidence but end up falling for ML's father and kind of had a relationship with him. Anyways, she didn't feel good about it as the man that she may have fallen in love with is repsonsible for her husband's death, so she decided to leave. She ended up getting sick and ML's father went to see her. She ended up telling him her reason for becoming ML's piano teacher. ML's dad ended up telling her that he was responsible for her husband's death and that he never loved her. She wrote all of this in her diary and FL found this diary after her death. FL concluded her mom died because after that incident, her mother did not take her medicine and just went into a depression and died.
I've watched all 10 episodes so far and so depressing. Here are my thoughts on this drama so far : - the FL better have a very good reason to delay her son's surgery and hurt the person she loves the most (ML). These two are the most important person in her life and I couldn't figure out a good reason why she would do something like that. The ML would have been able to save her son a lot earlier - the ML is the most pitiful as he's the only one who doesn't know anything. He doesn't know why the love of his life hurt him but he still loves her so much (sigh). It makes me sad. - Hopefully it's a happy ending for all of this suffering - The drama is a bit slow for me and I do not have the patience to wait to find out what's going to happen, so i decided to read the novel LOL
