I don't think they'll change it. This is not uncommon for kdramas, unfortunately. That's why we should take a stance, call them out, and boycott those shows.
Iblis is the leader of devils in Islam (like Satan), and naming a character after him is very disrespectful to Islam and Muslims; as they are romanticizing Iblis and trivializing our beliefs. Also this is appropriation of our religion and highly insensitive. Mind you, people who don't know much about our religion could think that he's a genie or a good figure, therefore causing misinterpretation and spreading misinformation. It's important to also note that Muslims and Arabs are always misrepresented in Kdrama. The only times we're mentioned in Kdrama are always offensive and harmful stereotypes, depicting us in an ugly manner. We should absolutely boycott and call out all kdramas that do this. Our religion and our culture are not a costume for them to toy around with.
