Tbh, I want to start this but the sypnosis sounds like a lot of other dramas, cold, powerful male CEO, who falls…
Don’t pay attention to that ratings. The show is actually good. It very mature. It’s not an idol drama. The female is smart and stands up for herself. The male is kind and strategic. Watch the first couple of episodes and then make your decision on rather you like it or not.

Why after all she has gone through? ☹️
First, it doesn't matter if the illness is made up. Second, it's still based on a real illness which is a tumor. Third, what does it being fiction have to do with her dying? People kill characters in fiction all of the time. It doesn't matter if something is fiction it still needs to make logical sense. Just because it's fiction doesn't mean you can throw logic away and make stuff up as you go along. That's lazy writing. So what are you trying to say here? Fourth, I'm well aware that technology has advanced but when someone is in the last stages of an illness like a tumor the chances of them surviving is very slim even with medical advancements. There are rare cases where a person in advanced stages of cancer actually live but again that's very rare. Then again this is a kdrama so I don't know why I'm expecting good and logical writing. For me to enjoy kdramas most of the time I have to turn my brain off; so whatever.

She had the surgery to avoid imminent death ... that part is crossed on the check list I disagree with your take…
And your point? I still said what I said.

Maybe, but I think it would live up to its name if one or both of the main leads die. Maybe, Haein dies and Hyun Woo follows her like he promised. Or Eun Seong killed Hyun Woo on some if-i-can't-have-her-noone-can type thing. Now that would be interesting to me. And it would be a change from the predictable always happy ending kdramas always have. I would like them to take that chance and do something different for once.

I hope you can find another show to your liking. I for one think the FL and ML are doing a great job expressing…
I post what I want. Like I said, I don't care if you like it or not. There was no point in this exchange at all.

IF hae-in die at the end, that is a 'no-twist' story. This drama is full of twists.
even though I like this drama. This drama is not full of twist. Everything that's happened you could see a mile away. I never seen one kdrama when I was truly surprised by a twist. All kdramas are predictable.

it's more realistic. People with illnesses like hers die every day. And it would be more realistic seeing how they said she only had three months to live. That's life.

it doesn't need a happy ending. I'm sick of kdramas always having happy endings when it would be better for the story for it not to.

I like that ending too.

Title Queen of Tears Spoiler
I hope the writers dare to let hae-in die at the end. That's how the story should end.

You must have been watching a different drama. As far as scripts are concerned. I think this script has actually…
Okay, you like the drama. I don't. Now what? What is the point in replying that?

You mentioned, "I had to skip most of the drama". For me, XK acting is subtle and nuanced. It helps if I understand…
Yes, I skip a lot of the parts the mother was in because again, she's insufferable to watch. This drama is not deep it's not something you need to think super hard about in order to get it. Or like you can't miss a single scene or you won't understand what's going on.

Good thing I never asked you for your opinion though. I don't like it. I don't know why you needed to reply to me telling me you like a drama I don't like. What was the point in that exactly?

It is of course a matter of perception. Yes, mother is a piece of work, and yes, the FLM is a bit of a goody two…
Did I not say that I'm aware of this drama being a family-oriented drama. Most of the shows I watch don't have romance in it. I don't need romance in order to enjoy a show. I also recall me saying Xu Kai is a very good actor. This script does nothing to bring out the best in him.

I disagree with you. I am enjoying the slow burn romance and they are finally together- the highlight of the story…
I'm well aware of what a slow burn is. Slow burn doesn't change the fact that the two leads have no chemistry.
On Best Choice Ever Apr 23, 2024
I couldn't finish the show. The mother character is entirely too insufferable. I have to skip most of the drama because of her. I tried to give this drama a chance because Xu Kai is one of my favorite male actors but even he can't keep me watching this. The mother character has no redeemable qualities and she takes up a lot of screen time in this drama. The female lead is very boring with no personality besides being poor and self-righteous to the point of ridiculousness. The female lead and the male lead have no chemistry whatsoever. I have no problem with family-oriented shows, but this show doesn't do it for me. Xu Kai's acting seems to be suffering under the terrible script he was given. Xu Kai is a very good actor with a lot of range, but he's basically a robot in this drama. his very expressive eyes seem dull and lifeless in this drama.

Is there any love angle between the main leads?
highly doubt it. this is a story of revenge, mystery, and grief. It was never tagged as a romance.
