I appreciate how she's written. She's naive and clueless primarily as a rookie lawyer, but it's more than that…
JDoramas do the rookie-veteran dynamic better with the Rookie having that fresh, overly-driven, wanting-to-prove-self kind of energy while the Veteran is more set-in-ways, don't-like-changes, so-done-with-the-world kind of energy.
KDrama's naive idealistic rookie tend to feel out-of-touch most of the time.
Or maybe that's how young 'uns are these days hahahahahahHAHAHAHA
I'm not sure about how they're gonna be handling the subplot of FL being wanted out of the company, it seems a…
The CEO seems to have had it against FL since the beginning like storming into the divorce team's floor when the divorce came out and even being at the courtroom and walking out. We still don't know much about him except that he's the CEO and father of Woo Jin.
can someone explain who the girl painter and the guy telling the story is?!
not related to the story. they are narrator and audience of story - to further reiterate to the viewers that this nothing but make believe hahahaha that's cn censorship for you
I enjoy characters like Han Yu-ri. Earnest, somewhat naive and clueless, and over-eager, Because they provide…
I appreciate how she's written. She's naive and clueless primarily as a rookie lawyer, but it's more than that because her ideals about family, marriage, divorce, and affairs makes her world view limited (especially her parents' messy divorce happened at a young age for her). Despite all the cases they've handled, she can't just change her world view in a snap of a finger. It's a slow realization that divorce lawyers can actually help people, not just help break families up.
There are plenty rookie characters in dramaland who don't have as solid a backstory as Han Yuri which often makes them hard to appreciate.
Sending virtual hugs to CEK... the law firm she dedicated 17 years of her life is trying to rug pull her and she's feeling inadequate as a mom ending with JH injured.
Every character is sus yet could also be innocent. The actors are doing a good job at being both. Except the detectives... they are just slow and seem incompetent at this point lol. I'm all questions and no answer hahaha let's see how this will progress.
I love E09 because it talked about “forgiveness”.They are correct that forgiveness benefit the guilty and/or…
More than how it talked about forgiveness, I liked it a lot because of how it talked about receiving an apology especially a real one. Very true in situations where trust among family is broken. It's rare to receive an apology but be told to move on and past-is-past and forgive-and-forget. When you've felt wronged to the very core of your being, not getting that apology will leave a residue of bitterness that never fades. (worse if you're being gaslighted ugh, cheaters! smh) Another point was how children blames themselves, not the parents. It doesn't make sense but it's easier to think as a child that I did something wrong than think my parents who I should look up to did something wrong.
To forgive is the right of the giver, and simply receiving an apology doesn't obligate a forgiveness.
Dang, episode 9 had my eyes well up a few times then just leak like a busted faucet at the apology at the end…
I did not think I would be snotty crying while watching this drama. But one episode after another just really punches hard there be a horde of onion peeling ninjas beside me
I know a lot of people turned away from this because of a cheating spouse plot. But if you're not totally repulsed just by the idea of that, then give this one a try. In terms of the divorce cases, I like how they don't delve into breaking the marriage but it's about the family - the spouses and their children. They are also able to tie up the divorce cases versus CEK's own divorce proceedings that both sides of the story progresses (we see HYR slowly coming to terms on being a divorce lawyer and the boys of Daejung Divorce team). It is able to talk about law while being very human in its treatment. The actors are all delivering their roles really well especially Jang Nara. By Ep8, you'll have some emotional attachment to the characters.
If there was one complaint, it's Yuri-EunHo game that's being set up but it's not landing for me.
She was totes lying to her parents. It's funnier cos ML already approached FL's parents before and telling them…
No, they are not his accomplice. Remember that they told him that when it comes to their daughter's relationship, they want her to make the decision. So ML approached FL on his own. I know the subs are horrid, but to not understand that means you weren't really watching
Company policy. And one that actually exists in many contemporary companies (to prevent s-harassment and unfair…
She's not a regular employee yet, so she doesn't get a bonus for her performance. That's why her first step KPI is to get regularized, then get x amount of deposits.
