Lmao I can't stand GOSF at all and dropped it half way, I find GOY is way better in terms of actual bromance, character development (including side characters) and how an organization operates. Moreover, GOY didn't have a Gary stu as MC and Li Yi Feng's acting is really good.

I'm glad they didn't bring romance into this kind of military drama, the only necessary propaganda is the soldier's love for their country and their brothers, not the stupid teen melodrama. And realistically speaking, the chance of meeting an actual young and beautiful girl in an all-male military base is almost close to 0.

In the end, it's supposed to be a comedy movie with touching storyline, so it's worth watching anyway, don't worry too much about the romance part, they didn't progress to that point yet anyway, it's just cute and funny to watch. Though I recommend you all to read to original work which is just a oneshot, it's way funnier and somehow less obvious about 'love' than the movie itself lol

A MUST WATCH MOVIE for those that enjoy military theme, especially special forces. The vfx and footage are too realistic, it's candies for the eyes, I watched the behind the scene clip and found out most on-land action scenes were filming outdoor at realistic locations, they really put lots of effort to this movie.

You guys don't know how much they love milking xiao ge/little brother/zhang kilin, this won't be the last tv series (though I hope it is so the author can focus on finishing his books than relying on tv drama/movies for easy money), if they get bored they will just remake all the adaptations (like how Sand Sea is getting a new remake movie)

In all honesty, please read the books for its original content, it's x10 times better than the drama in every aspects.

it's a good story, the pacing was pretty fast because these two are so effecient 🤣Technically they are in Russia for like 8 chapters then the rest happened in Japan, so it's more Black Glasses's business than Xiao Hua's. Thus, the one that did all the work is Black Glasses while Xiao Hua only gave minimum support, and I think that how it should be between them because one is the boss and one is an employee, that's why they don't give off great bromance chemistry like the Iron Triangle but more like professional partnership.
Regarding whether the author likes writting about them or not, when I was reading and feeling that their uncle jokes are a bit dry, Xiao Hua immidiately complained Black Glasses is so boring to him but more interesting with others, and Black Glasses replied 'that depends on the people I'm talking to', that's when I knew even Xu Lei realized how their small talks are lacking in humour and why he never let them interact before, as a result, later he had to add Suwan as a comedy and relieve character to brighten the tense and serious mood of the story. I don't think he hate it because he still plans to write more in the future but if the process of writting isn't enjoyable, then it's hard for him to concentrate and hiatus would occur.

The pair in Ultimate Note is completely made up by the director to please the fangirls because according to the novel, they never interact directly not until Reunion (even in Reunion, because Xiao Hua already fainted so they don't even talk to each other lol).

that's honestly kids being kids, kids are annoying, but the main point of the relationship between ZY and QH is to get closer to each other to the point they can trust each other. 'Arrogant' is also a part of QH, it's just he went through so much and matured so he knows how to act in society as an adult. Your example about the competition, later ZY even went down the stage to drag everyone's attention to QH and praised him as the winner. I think ZY has the right to be proud of doing something no one has never done before (breaking the 3rd security level) and he also accepted the fact that he wasn't as strong as QH but he felt proud regardless because QH is his (partner) boss.

You should have seen the ep later when QH took ZY to his old uni and told ZY why he decided to take ZY in. He saw his old frivolity self in ZY and he admired ZY's pure kindness and self-rightousness so he wants to be the one to lead this kid into the right path in life. If you wonder why they need to add such a character like ZY, I think the drama wants to show how young and old generations can connect in this era and do the right things together, after all most audiences for an online drama are young people.

At first I thought she's there so that we don't have to worry about such a story going romance route, but now I'm not sure, it's like the scriptwritter is going to change direction (like having the gf breaks up to be with the other male lead, MC and FL can be together etc.)

I don't dislike the gf cause with her supporting role, she just needs to be a good woman and there's no reason for audiences to hate her. However, when it comes to a leading role like the FL, the rigid acting, stupid dialouges, annoying actions,... it's just too much to handle.

omg I'm on ep 14 but gonna drop this tv series mainly because of the female lead, such a bad actress with an annoying role, the story, male lead and other characters are so good but the FL is just so dumb and useless, her role is annoying, her acting is even worse. Why did she even exist in such a serious show? I hope they won't make the male lead breaks up with his gf to be with her.
