This...this is actually so aggravating!! I am trying not to curse, but this drama got me acting out of character. I don't understand how something can be both predictable and baffling. I'm going to try this without spoilers. The first couple of episodes were nice, good visuals and such. However, after episode 9 or so, things just didn't make sense. A sudden no-killing rule was applied to a whole GENERAL!! (Prince, but he had soldiers.)
A whole bunch of drawn swords, and when they should be killing someone, their yapping their heads off, I would skip 20 seconds...AND THEY'LL STILL BE YAPPING!! Took my willpower to trudge through the remaining episodes.
Do you know what, I would've let ts slide, I could ignore it for the plot and such. It was the ENDING!!! How are you trying to tell a blood-drenched king that after killing someone, there's no coming back...like what????
Just a few tropes from the first 4 episodes. 1. Fake marriage2. White truck of doom3. Wicked in-laws 4. Childhood…
the trauma thing is the one that always irritates me, why must there always be trauma? there was some other drama (forgot) where the ML (which was ALSO rich) had a trauma of...wait for it...rain. RAIN!!! (due to some car crash and it was raining) dpmo >:(
It should be called Righteous Assassin. Whenever I get into a Cdrama, I never go into things like this because it ends up one way: everyone perceives the ML to be evil and bloodthirsty, but he is just "misunderstood." He ends up being nice and kind-hearted. That's fine and all...unless you're in the most famous assassin organization. At the start, it says it doesn't discriminate between Evil and Good, what does the ML do...EXACTLY THAT!! He lets enemies get away to cause further UNNECESSARY trouble. And everyone seems to be making concessions for him...the three refusals? really? like seriously? respectfully, he's just a glorified bodyguard, nothing more.
7.6 rating is accurate; perhaps it should be lower. The only thing saving this is the cast and that's not a good thing. What annoys me is that directors always manage to make those who are evil to be good. I'm not even going to talk about the crazy religion mix. Iblis/Shaytan is known as the most evil entity, he started a war because he didn't want to bow down to the "Almighty" yet, he has no problem doing do with Ki Ga Yeong. Second si the fact that the child is more evil than him, literally him saying "True Shaytan" is that not irking?!? Finallly, nearly a millennium of hatred dissipated in what a year? Yep, wrap it up!
Good story? HAHAHAH!! funniest joke I've heard in so long. This is just a boy that learns from a bunch of ragtag martial artists and sects that wish to defend another country for some unknown reason, they claim it's for honour and whatnot, but what are they protecting or getting that they so persistently protect that ONE country??? NianCi is LITERALLY ALWAYS SNOOPING!! In real life, Guo Jing would've died so many times that they would end the drama at episode 2 xD.
but why didn't he just run him over? and why do they suddenly run away knowing it hurt both of them, then go on to say "punishing myself". so frustrating
Am I the only one thinking they are taking the mick with the release? I haven't even watched it yet. Can I don't like waiting a week per episode? However, I'm hearing the seventh episode is coming weeks later. Is the series still in production or something?
The drama is good, Cast is even better, but what catches my attention are the phone calls, everyone in this drama will drop anything and everything once they hear their phone ring, it's actually hilarious.
Plus, are phones so loud that people from across the room can hear when the phone is placed against the listener's ears??
Wasn't interested because I dont really like investigation and righteous ML, it's better if they get revenge in the cruel way than trying to go the extra mile and bring them to court, but my girl Zhang Jing Yi is there, so I guess I HAVE to watch it...sigh
Dramas and such, but why does the drama not show the main characters kneeling when greeting the emperor, I think the ML did it once, but whenever the FL is involved in the kneeling, they show some crappy transition of clothes on the floor...somehow that translates to "kneeling". Is there something wrong with the MC knees or are they just too prideful for it?
WHY DO MC ALWAYS HAVE PROBLEMS EXPLAINING THINGS?!!! when they're dying, the first thing in their mind is to let the girl/man hate them so they wouldn't feel sad over their death...does that make sense??? Do they not hurt when they think they've been betrayed?? what is so hard about dying feeling loved???
A whole bunch of drawn swords, and when they should be killing someone, their yapping their heads off, I would skip 20 seconds...AND THEY'LL STILL BE YAPPING!! Took my willpower to trudge through the remaining episodes.

Honest rating:
4/5 Plot
5/5 Aesthetics
2/5 Execution
10000/5 Yapping
Plus, are phones so loud that people from across the room can hear when the phone is placed against the listener's ears??
This is so annoying man
