I started this today, and 5 eps in dropped it. I know korean variety shows are fond of dragging idols into uncomfortable situations but that usually nu-idols who dont have much clout. A very established international actor would'nt be put in that position.
Also, isn't it a PD's job to ensure that they are respecting a guest's boundaries/ allergies/ phobias. Like the CEO said, what if there was an accident. That "get over trauma" thing is utter bs.
Lastly, even though I haven't gotten to that part yet (not that I plan) but I see complaints about the lack of dogs. As a rescue shelter of almost 20yrs, I say lack of animals makes total sense.
First, filming a show (for a long duration) is an extremely high stress environment what with so many people passing and doing their own thing, not to mention not all of the crew would be familiar/comfortable with dogs/animals (a single trained pet is extremely different than untrained strays). By law, u also need an animal expert/an officer of the animal welfare board (to ensure no mistreatment is happening), a vet and a few volunteers who can handle animals (because, again, most strays can be vary of humans for variety of reasons).
2nd, even if PD is shit, Dae Byeol seems like a responsible handler/feeder. Believe or or not, animals, esp dogs are HIGHLY sensitive which means that if they are around someone like Uno who is afraid/stressed by them, they will get stressed in turn. So, it makes sense if Dae Byeol moved the dogs to a different location (other shelters/volunteers/fosters) and kept only the dog that Uno is most familiar with.
The real reason is probably the same as my first point, the drama production couldn't afford trained animal actors, but that's the theory I'm sticking with
Mew speaking Thai and everyone acting like they know what he's saying but answer in Korean and vice versa is kind…
Well, they made it clear in ep 1 that Manager/CEO have dealt with a lot of Thai trainees because they have a branch in Thailand, so they can understand Thai even if they can't speak it. If u are familiar with Kpop, U would know most international trainees know or understand Korean atleast on a basic level because the instructors are korean (they will be fluent by debut). Plus, Mew's character is shown as half-korean, so (from my personal exp as a non-native bilingual), u can understand a language fluently but not speak.
Ep 4 onwards, they use translation pods for his variety show.
Who is gay and what's their story/endgame? This drama is the first result in "Gay male lead" tag for some reason
Obviously I know it's not a bl, I just wanted to know why it has Gay Male Lead tag (like I thought the main* love triangle was between ML and FL + gay SML).
But simply coming out/acceptence also exceeds expections, all things considering.
He will probably stay single like most action leads, with her death serving as a motivation for his character…
Single on screen, doesn't mean single forever. It means of she dies, he probably won't have another romance and his wife will be some generic lady.
Or...like I said π, if the FL dies after they get together/she gives birth (which is also a possibility), then we can have both, a dead wife and a kid who grows up to hate him because he is workaholic/"he killed mom".
Again, this is all just a speculation since she hasn't died yet
so not condoning pedophillia is snowflake behaviour now?? ππ
Tbf, he isn't that old (just immortal). No different than twilight. Edward got turned when he was in his teens (500yrs ago) so he is stuck as a teen even though mentally he is 500. Same here, the guy died when he was in his 20s (1000 yrs ago). So, technically, he is still in his 20s and the girl is a teen.
Are you serious about the rating !!! I mean this deserves way more than this number, I'm quite sure this will…
Procedurals/Thrillers usually take off after they finish airing because people wait to binge. Aint nobody got the patience to wait on cliffhangers every week. Even I'm waiting for it
Fair review, I guess. Even I didn't buy the main couple. Apart from the age gap, ot makes no sense for FL to be reborn (in the final life) because she was never meant to be born in the first place. Her birth was a freak accident because her mother got touched by a Goblin and her whole existence was to get rid of his curse/immortality. In fact, it makes no sense for him to be alive either (since his curse of immortality was broken). It would have made more sense if Goblin finally got his rest after wandering for 1000yrs, and the FL grieved for a while, then moved on with another human as she should. Show her as a middle-aged/old woman in the last ep (when the 2nd couple is reincarnated for the final time).
The 2nd couple.... they were my favourite, and we can just agree to disagree on your opinions. They were age appropriate, they had unfinished history, their personalities matched and they were cute together. I just watched for their romance and LDW/GY bromance, and the OST of course.
