Am I the only one who is not liking it that much as others? I feel like they changed too many things from the…
For me personally, I would have enjoyed it a lot more if they kept to the comedy theme present in the first 30% of the show, where PQ does absurd stuff and it ends up profiting. It's not even about moving away from the novel, but just in general, the show has shifted to a completely different tone from the first half. They also keep mentioning PQ's dilemma, where he has to decide between earning money or appreciate the work of his employees.
This was a 9-9.5/10 show for me in the beginning but after watching recent episodes, especially episode 21, I just straight up lost interest. I was totally okay with replacing the system with a business tycoon because of censorship or wtv, but then now there's a whole ass plot around the tycoon's son(s?) and then PQ doesn't even do PQ stuff anymore, he's just there as a side character lmao.
Losing Money to be a TycoonWell, since I’m the first one here, let me be the guiding light as someone who has…
I watched the Donghua, and I agree.
I dislike how they made PQ so pitiful. In the drama, I actually feel sad for PQ, whereas in the Donghua, he was still living a decent life despite 'losing'. The tone of the drama has completely shifted and the comedy isn't really present anymore, it's just a typical drama atm. I was looking forward to this drama from more than a year ago too...
First 10 seconds into the show and I feel the same vibes as New Life Begins and My Heroic Husband (turns out they have the same scriptwriters), which means it would be a fantastic show.
These shows produced by the same director/scriptwriters usually have very similar casts (i believe they are one agency), except for the ML and FL. Best part of these type of shows are the "slice of life" aspect.
For a short drama, this was actually really really good.
First half was really good, second half fell off abit but was still pretty good. OSTs were surprisingly good for a short drama, and the cast (specifically the main cp and even the minor roles) were really good.

I went to read the novel for the second case, and if you want to know the plot, you can read the spoilers below, but it will spoil the entire case for you. First spoiler is why Qin family is getting killed and second spoiler is identity of killer.
Okay, let me make it clear for you...Real world- Ep 40's chubby female actual screenwriter's scene is the ONLY…
Yep, the name of the book before it cued to the female script writer was "A Dream within a Dream" and the director that called her is the director of this show.
So both SYM's and NH's worlds were fictional worlds.
1. Pei Qian staying poor (basically intro scene of ep 1) vs the entire Tengda Company becoming rich together
2. The company soars together vs The company's rivals shut down

Wang Zifei, or her short drama pseudonym, He Tian Tian.
Acted as one of the many wives of the 3rd Prince (Huang Sibo in this drama) in New Life Begins.
It's the song that's played in the ending credit scene of the last few episodes (including the final episode).
They used "我们以为的祖先”, meaning "the person we mistook for our ancestor".

Cai He, who has an affair with Qin Chen.

Final episode was great though, definitely one of the better endings in CDramas, but I don't think they fully explained things?
Each individual's word meaning
白 - white
首 - first/head/lead-er
同 - together/same
心 - heart
For people who aren't good in English/Mandarin, they tend to do direct translation of each individual words, which was what SYM did.
