Thank you for the response. I’m beginning to hate him, and that statement from him in episode 13 was really out of nowhere. It caught me off guard. I thought he would be one of those besties who support their besties’ relationships, but he’s understandable too since he just likes Wu Zhen so much. I just hope we’ll get enough of his backstory in the future episodes.

I'm a picky watcher and I’m telling you guys, this drama is up to my standards. It may not be perfect, but it is watchable and definitely worth giving a chance. My tip is: you just have to test at least 1–3 episodes to see if it’s good enough for you. I think 3 hours is not that high of a price to waste if you end up not liking it. Don’t trust any ratings you see online because I’ve been there. Instant regret if you decide not to watch based on ratings, because you might actually miss out on something enjoyable.
