Totally agree about Pil Do. So pointless. No argument makes sense.

Why the effing heck did they have to do Pil Do like that? Why? Did it matter that much to the plot? So unnecessary.

Just finished it and I can't describe how special this series was. The plot might might have been very simple but the actors and everyone who worked on it made it so special. I have rarely seen a series where the chemistry is captivating not only between the leads, but among all the cast members. How awesome is that they live in Gongjin, a small town, where everyone considers each other part of a big family. Also, I love it how at the final episode they kind of gave a wrap up to everyone and not only the leads. I only wish that Oh Yoon and Nam-Sook would have ended up together. They fit so well. I hope she caught the bouquet. The only thing I didn't like was writing off Gam-Ri. That was so not necessary at all. I still picture all of the Gongjin neighours together with the leads and PD and his team taking on the wedding photo. As the series end, our good boy finally found the good girl. Shin Min Ah is so gorgeous. I hope Kim Seon Ho will return on our screens with similar projects despite all the controversies and not step down from his career. Thank you directors, writers, actors for making this series a healing piece of art. Miss the cast already.

As a fan of Start-Up and Hometown Cha cha cha, I want to imagine that Han Ji Pyung and Hong Doo Shik are the same person. My fiction story goes like this: Han Ji Pyung was born in Gongjin. After loosing his family (just like Hong Doo Shik), he goes to an orphanage in Seoul, and when lonely, he would occasionally return to Gongjin to visit the city. When returning to Gongjin he would use the name Hong Doo Shik, because he didn't anyone to identify him. He would eventually grow closer with the people living there every time he would visit. They would see him as a lonely boy and would invite him to eat a meal. After running away from Halmoni (Start-Up) he returned to Gongjin where he stayed until he was ready to enter the university in Seoul. The years he spent in Seoul (the second mistery of Gongjin) was when he rose to success and became the successful and independent good boy Han Ji Pyung. After the events of Start-Up, after being rejected by Seo Dal Mi and after being overly focused on his business side, being the good boy he is, he decides to take some time off from everything in order to refresh, so he decided to return to Gongjin and live among the people of the city by doing part time jobs. And that's where our heart-warming story Hometown Cha Cha Cha begins. His hands might not have been big enough for Seo Dal Mi, but Yoon Hye Jin definitely chooses to see the big heart of a good boy. Hope you enjoy it!!

Watched the first 2 episodes and it seems so refreshing. It gives you a very nice feel, great pace and beautiful scenery and relaxing vibes.Shin Min Ah is so beautiful. Gorgeous. Kim Seon Oh fits so well with the character. Feels natural.

I want this to be just as dark and edgy as the poster's premise. Please.

Wasn't this 10 episodes long? Why does it say 1 Episode?

What didn't find satisfying was episode 16 as a whole. It gave no explanations leaving many unanswered points, didn't solve any plot-hole and while it can be considered as open ending it didn't really make any sense to me as it is difficult to make the interpretation of what it actually means. The story throughout the episodes 1-15 was unfolding in way that didn't really match the last episode. But ofc there are others who might have enjoyed the ending, so it's just a viewpoint based on personal taste.

The first episode was so thrilling, intense and well produced. The cinematography is very good as well. Can't wait for episode 2 and find out which actor is which character.

Yes I agree. The k-drama itself gives the opportunity for many theories and interpretations and I remember enjoying this ride throughout its airing period. I am also very happy that they made Alice because no matter how the ending was it has created a gate that can lead to more k-dramas of the same genre being produced.

You are perfectly right in this scenario and being based on the k-drama itself everything you say makes perfect sense. But as I said before, this version is an alternate based on the way I think and I would it to end. And if I were to rewrite the series, even though I don't really enjoy romantic k-dramas, I would surely hint at a romance between Do Yeon and Jin Gyeom as I personally liked the chemistry between the their scenes so it's more of personal opinion/viewpoint or wishful editing I would say ><' Also in one of the last episodes Jin Gyeom told Do Yeon (when she was in danger) that he doesn't know how he feels about her yet but he will surely not let anything happen to her, which leaves some room open for discussion for those who would ship them together, no matter how small this room can be ^^ ''

The show didn't fall in the romance category, you can check it in MDL as well, so it wasn't really scripted that there should have been a romance between the two in the real version. And as I am editing my alternate version I thought I could showcase somehow my shipping of them.
Secondly "she isn't his mom but she loves him like his mom" means this: In my alternate version Yoon Tae Yi is the past self ofJin Gyeom's mother. Therefore, if everything would have gone right on her timeline she would have given birth to Jin Gyeom sometime in the future (this is stated in the series as well), therefore she would be the mother of Jin Gyeom in a future timeline, so that's why I wrote that even though she isn't his mother yet she still cares for Jin Gyeon same as being her son.
Thirdly, you don't know me to tell me I am not open minded. I don't know where you got this from and I don't really care, but please don't jump into conclusions. It's just a shipping I like that I wanted to happen and in this version it makes sense. Also, shipping Jin Gyeom with Yoon Tae Yi does not mean being open minded.
