Impressive first episode. Writing and screenplay comes later, first let me just talk about cinematography and sound design of this season. It is absolutely mystic, stunning and vivid. The color grading of this season is cold which signifies that the characters are gonna be much more colder and pacific in this new season. Simply loved the colors they have used along with some shots. Now, the background music, i was very surprised they kept it dramatic as well as minimal. No bgms at unnecessary scenes. The title OST of this season is really catchy.
Now coming to the first episode writing and screenplay, this season started off in a very clean and structured manner with Medusa's introduction who is none other than Geum Ra Hee. Afterwards they set the narrative perfectly that Min Do Hyung is going to be the avenger and he will receive a lot of help. Geum Ra Hee's trsnsformation was mindblowing. It was heartwrenching. I never dripped tears in first season but this new season made me cried in just first episode. Hwang Jung Eum's incredible acting made it more appealing. The psychological dilemma where she was in, the whole charismatic representation of her alter ego showing her the mirror was beautiful. She lost her leg and it was painful to watch. But the beauty of this episode lies in that snowy forest where the little girl was asking her to share a sweet potato with her. This is just so heartbreaking.
I dont want to comment on other characters but i definitely saw a humane side in them too. I am not forgiving any of them until they receive their punishment by the end, but surely would love to see their redemption.
Also, the final scene was full of swag. Just like i wanted. This season is gonna be trailblazer !!!!!
E10 was the WORST !!! That Seung Ah needs to get lost. So much mess right now. And the writers are so sadist like why they cant let the couple breathe for a second !! Damm only 2 episodes left and everything is already fucked up !!! Really disappointed !!! 😒
YSH is the original creator of King Of Pigs not director or screenwriter. Original creator just look at the world building while director and screenwriter does the main job. Now here YSH is the director and screenwriter of the show. Checkout the number of shows / movies where he did direction and screenwriting. Most of them are flop works. So people are bound to have trust issues. If this becomes a hit that will be miracle and i hope it happens.

Oh i will be really glad if we get more dramas like Queen Of Tears. What you are calling creative is not an original idea at all. Before this show there has been many dramas which are received very well with the similar romantic fantasy everyday a new case format. This relies on the same idea. Queen Of Tears is the original, new and refreshing one. It has a story which korean television has not witnessed so far. Cliche ? You are clearly kidding. Do you even know what cliche is ? Doctor Slump ! And Queen Of Tears is not overrated it is actually deserving because of the writing and execution, acting, cinematography, production and everything. It may not be your cup of tea but saying that this show deserves more hype than Queen Of Tears sounds like a big joke. This deserves attention for sure but only if it surprises and keeps pleasing viewers.
